Yea we could have gotten Martellus Bennett for 4th round pick instead of lousy Punter.

This guy is just a  Rivera/Hurney hater he will give them all the poo but will never say a word about fat ass Gettleman who ruined this team with bad investments /drafting.

we lost a 4th rd pick and paid him what we could have gave nortman to stay , gettleman was a terrible gm, but the fan boys loved him even when he was worse then hurney

Why would we be in the market for a trade when the answer is on the roster?!?!?!

All jokes aside, Ward is very unhappy in Tampa and has made his gripes public...could be an opportunity for a safety upgrade/depth. Otherwise, I think another DE would be the only realistic option. Given the cap situation + Moton as depth, I doubt a move is made to address the O-line.

Hurney did bring Greg Olsen, probably the best trade in franchise history.

He also traded a 1st round pick for Everette Brown, and tried to trade a 1st rounder to move up to select Jimmy Clausen.

P.S. that pick would end up being the 1st overall pick, and we selected Cam Newton, QB, Auburn.

Hurney is, and was an awful GM.

Lol.

Just like he got lucky with Hardy in the second round, or Munnerlyn in like the 6th round or Josh Norman in the later rounds. Give.the devil.his.due

So far, just today, you have mentioned CMC being the 9th overall pick, and Hardy being drafted in the 2nd.

Please use google just a bit.

Bennett’s open politics and turdness means he never puts on a Panthers uniform.

I did use google old wise one and guess what? Hardy was a SIXTH round draft pick...further proving my point Hurney has a incredible eye for talent. His problem was overpaying players

McCaffery 8th or 9th overall whatever way too high for a RB that worked from the slot at his workout and put up 225 on the bench press only ten times.

If he had an eye for talent he would have taken him in the 1st or 2nd.  That's like saying Bill Belichick has an eye for talent because they drafted Brady in the 6th....that's called luck.

Also, CMC didn't just work from the slot like you are claiming, he worked out as both a WR and RB.

As to Hurney's problems, you haven't been around here long enough to really remember where he fugs up and where he just merely muddies the water.

    • Lil Stanky 100% in the dot tonight... And our 2nd line has been our best offensive line this season. Maybe our 2C really was on the roster this whole time...?
    • That’s a grade I kind of expected tbh. I’m not a huge fan of NS, but he’s not as bad as what the huddle says he is minus the horrible game he had vs the Rams. I’ve always thought he’s often used as a scapegoat. The improved pass rush should hide his deficiencies a little bit better if he’s the game one starter. FS might have to be a position we punt on this year unless Thieneman falls to us at 19. The reality is, you're going to have a few average players in certain spots for a team with as many holes we had before free agency started. You can’t sign everyone.
    • I am by no means trying to say he's a world beater. I'm saying it's trending in the right direction. Especially when measured against himself.i think the team feel the same way or else they wouldn't have picked up his option. Plus I think there is a new idea in the NFL about these young QBs. Teams give up to soon. Browns gave up to soon on baker same with the jets on Geno and darnold. Maybe they are who you thought they were in the draft process and they need more time to develop than you originally planned. Either way. I do think he is as capable as darnold is as far as you can win a championship with him. And something he does have that darnold doesn't is he is clutch.  If I need one more drive and 2 mins to go I'm betting on Bryce and I am far from a homer, just going off his game winning drives. He has that dog in him on the last drive.
