Rivera: CAP to start replacing CMC on passing downs

Why is CMC being asked to block anyway? Or run between the tackles? This kid is incredible in open space yet we run the same plays we would with Stew for him. Just terrible.

there's stuff going wrong sure but he's had plenty of opportunities to show he was worth a first rounder and he's not done them at all. 

like that's just a MLB bringing him down. he could have tried to make a move instead of just sitting there and getting worked.

find me one instance of this open field nonsense. it hasn't translated at all.

Honestly, I've been underwhelmed by CMC in the open field. He's impressed me as a route runner and as a receiver, but as a runner he goes down really easily.

20 yard completion on 3rd and 13, changes direction and avoid an open field tackle 6 yards behind the down marker and another tackler right around the first down marker.

and i expect a rookie to fug up blocking assignments, the fact that Cam dumped that pass off to him is more of an indictment on the rest of our OL. (namely Kalil getting beat on simple swim move and Williams getting blown past)
