He's also had Cam Newton and Luke Kuechly in their primes.

Yet we still haven't actually had back to back winning records yet.

Look I like Cam.  I think he's the best QB that we've had overall.  But his accuracy is an issue and I think a lot of that has to do with him being injured and taking so many hits.  But even healthy Cam is not the caliber of QB like a Tom Brady, Dan Marino (who never won a Super Bowl btw...how crazy is that?), or even Drew Brees.  Cam isn't excelling this year because our OL is not playing well and I think his thumb is bothering him more than we know.

All that said, it's not about one player, or even two.  Football is the ultimate team sport.  There will never be a Michael Jordan of the NFL.

Who cares about the past? The fact remains that Ron's remarkable cowardice is a constant throughout this season. There was no reason to run the clock down with 45 seconds to go in the half.

Of course not, because we all know that all it takes its a long bomb to Byrd right?  That would fix everything.

Stopped reading there.

I fully admit that Cam's streaky accuracy is absolutely maddening at times. But if I'm making a list of issues holding this franchise back from winning a Super Bowl, Cam Newton is at the bottom of the list.

I don't know if you are drunk or trolling, but he's the only reason this wasn't a complete shutout from top to bottom.

I also have to wonder how much you actually know about football if you question whether we can win with Cam but have nothing to say about the fact that our 8th overall pick put up a whopping 16 rushing yards while once again Cam led the team in rushing.

Log out bro.

What are you talking about? I'm talking about ron choosing to run twice at the end of the 2nd quarter with 45 seconds left on the clock and two timeouts remaining.

He basically gave up and didnt even try to score more points there, which would have greatly helped us stay in the game if we had.

    • Even all the rookie QB's who haven't played a single snap ranked above him? I really hope Bryce is using all this as motivation in some capacity. Because if this doesn't motivate him I don't know what will.
    • Of course. That’s what I said. Bad goalie play and the style of defense. Florida played amazing.  Rods decision to stick with a struggling Freddie cost us. Plus, Florida may be more talented than us and they play a very heavy game. Something we don’t do well minus Svech.  Glad the rangers lost.
    • You should because before the preseason fiasco and the start of the season fiasco, all the reports, including Frank’s responses, were that Fitterer and Reich were in lock step. Remember the press conference where Fitterer talked about both he and Frank saying who they wanted before and after the draft process and that they both picked Young and it was glorious? People got hung up on Tepper saying the point guard analogy in April when Brown was interviewed by a Panthers reporter describing how a QB needs to be a point guard in huge detail. That was in February. I think Tepper was just parroting Brown to make himself look like he knew what he was doing. Mrs. Tepper hugging Bryce always overshadowed CJ saying how he called her Mama Tepp. We fuged up as a team, probably more so because Fitterer always said he had Young as his #1 the year before, probably because we looked at all the QBs that year as well. Reich’s love for CJ started when he got on the hot seats for frankly doing a horrific job. He's been in the league a long time and has a lot of media friends and that was a face saving CYA which we know well with many years of Hurney. Still amazing to think how much better the team was under Rhule/Hurney before Fitterer got any control when Rhule was on the hot seat.
