What Would You Trade To Get Marcus Peters?

What draft picks?

Where's this coming from?. Well Andy Reid suspended him against Raiders game. I just don't think this will go away especially if they lose. Next season is his last year pending 5th year option and he's due $3,049,506. They're definitely not cutting him, but I'm willing to bet they'll accept offers

They would for many reasons.  Most importantly because they’re a cap disaster on steroids and they have the 2nd lowest draft capital of all teams right now behind the Texans.

I just don’t think his kneeling/political beliefs/attitude issues make him a fit here, as nice as it’d be to have his talent.

He sits for the national anthem Jerry would never approve

Never say never but you’re probably right, as I said above.  No matter what happens at this point, what has transpired will make it tough for us acquiring him, just as it will be tough for many fans that have jumped ship throughout this country to ever come back.

Id be willing to give them matt Kalil for peters if they throw in Eric berry too. Gotta make it a fair trade

I’m a bigger fan of Berry than maybe anyone, and I’m leery of the Achilles after everything else.

If not for that, I actually think the new GM (Dorsey who re-signed Berry is out) would listen (obviously not for Kalil, but legit offers).

They’re a disaster now on the field, in the salary cap books, and with draft capital.

Might be able to trade Matt Kalil for a pack of big league chew and mint condition TOPPS NFL trading cards of Marcus Peters and Eric Berry.

Just a guess-I think the Chiefs would take a 1st straight up (they don’t have one) for Peters or Berry.  Peters in a salary year next year with the attitude/political issues, and Berry with the ginormous contract and injury issues, but with sentimental value to the franchise.

The smarter play is probably keeping our picks.

    • Bryce and Dave will determine how many games this team wins next year. It’s not on the WRs. The RBs. LBs. This is about 2 things: 1. Can Bryce continue to come up big in the few key downs that decide most games?  2. Can Canales evolve his play calling to counter punch like the big boys do. Half time adjustments.  teams that score 30+ points on the regular win more games than not. That’s on Bryce and Dave. The offense is top 10 at every position group, save for TE and QB. A baller TE is gravy but not crucial when the receivers are dudes.  The defense is the defense. It’ll be better this season, hopefully by a large margin, but Dave/Bryce is really where it’s at.
    • Normally I'd wholeheartedly agree with this. But I feel like teams figured out this offense after the Raiders game. Bryce was so inept the first 2 games that we couldn't really even run the offense. Dalton's first game showed what we had. But after that game, coverages got a lot tighter and windows were smaller. When Bryce came back in, his ability to extend plays made a big difference. It's really difficult to stop a QB that can beat/escape 1on1 tacklers. It puts a lot of pressure on the defense when you blitz. And he was completing throws in tight coverage with anticipation. Point being Bryce wasn't throwing to wide open receivers that were schemed open by the offense. Occasionally yes. But not often.
    • With the additions we've made to our roster combined with the state of the division and the conference as a whole there is no excuse for this team not to make a legitimate push for 8-9 wins. Anything less is honestly inexcusable. There will be no more free passes for being a doormat in this iteration of the league where even mediocre teams are competing for playoff spots.
