It was also a week after we should have beat the Eagles and 3 weeks after we beat the Pats.

So....cool story bro.

Yea our OC/Coaching staff is still here and still calling games like the Eagles game.

Not a cool story, just true and unfortunate.

Also close loses are still losses, damn Jets and trying to lose that one but counts as a win!

fug off with that negative nancy bullshit.

It's not negative it's realistic. Our team has been coasting all season. We had chances to beat the Saints, take the division, and roll into the playoffs hot. Right now I'm not even sure we make the playoffs. How can you be so sure facing our schedule?

The game we had the ball driving for the win against one of if not the best team in NFC this year?

Don't go full retard.

Bio fugging hoo we have Shula as coach.

We won 3 NFC South Championships and went to a Super Bowl with him and Rivera too so toughen up.

It's stupid.  It is literally dumb.  You being an idiot is the most realistic thing in this thread.

I'm not "positive" we will make the playoffs, but I sure do like our chances.  We're getting healthy at the right time (minus Shaq), and historically Cam and Ron Rivera teams have performed well in December.  If we can beat the Vikings, I think we will be in the playoffs.

Yes, it is a hard game, and yes Case Keenum has been playing well.  But it's Case Keenum, and our defense is angry.  I'll take our defense.

We have one bad loss

This is the NFL no college football.

We've beaten the teams we are supposed to beat with the exception of Chicago.

We beat ATL and New England in Foxburrow.

That is what good teams do.  Win the Hanes they are supposed to.

If we beat all the bad team AND all the good teams we would he undefeated lmao

15-1 may have messed up our expectations

I feel you, I think I did a bad job relaying what I was trying to say.  Basically, I think the 2012 Panthers would whip this group’s ass... the 2012 team was just unbelievably unlucky.  Like historically fuging unlucky.  Still managed 7-9.  2013’s 12-4 season wasn’t a surprise to me at all because you could tell it was a legit good team.  If the refs didn’t hand the 49ers the game I think that possibly could’ve been a SB team.  2014 was ravaged by injuries and a plethora of other poo all year, but turned it on late and nearly made it to the NFCCG.  2015 was the culmination of everything we had been building up to that point.  Last year IDK wtf happened.

This year though?  Lol nah.  I’m honestly shocked we’re somehow 8-4 this late in the season.  Probably being over reactionary but it honestly feels like the wheels are starting to come off.

Come up with a better insult.  Women pull for the Panthers too.

    • That is just Panthers history pain speaking.
    • From what I gather, sure it allows you more room in that you can manipulate the cap more due to smaller prorated amounts to fit salaries in, but for cap purposes, you're still on the hook for the money at the end of the day.    "ChatGPT You said: What are the advantages for NFL teams to sign larger signing bonuses? ChatGPT said: NFL teams often use large signing bonuses as a strategic tool in contracts. While they cost real cash up front, they offer several advantages, especially when it comes to salary cap management, player retention, and negotiation leverage. Here's a breakdown of the benefits: ✅ 1. Salary Cap Flexibility Signing bonuses are prorated over the life of the contract (up to 5 years) for salary cap purposes. This allows teams to spread out the cap hit, even if the player receives the money immediately. Example: A $20M signing bonus on a 4-year deal counts only $5M/year against the cap. ✅ 2. Attracting Top Talent Players love signing bonuses because they're guaranteed money paid up front. Offering a bigger signing bonus can sweeten the deal without inflating yearly salaries. ✅ 3. Front-Loading Real Cash, Not Cap Teams with strong cash flow can pay big bonuses now while minimizing the immediate cap hit. Useful for teams trying to build around rookie QB contracts or with flexible cash budgets. ✅ 4. Locking in Key Players Larger bonuses make it harder for a player to be released early due to dead cap consequences. This can create more job security for the player and roster continuity for the team. ✅ 5. Leverage in Restructures Big signing bonuses create future cap hits via proration. Teams can later restructure deals (e.g., convert salary to bonus) to create even more cap space. ✅ 6. Competitive Edge In free agency, a team offering more guaranteed cash up front often wins the bidding war, even if the total contract value is lower than another team's. ⚠️ Key Caveat: Large signing bonuses increase dead cap risk if the player is cut or traded early."   I think that roster bonuses can be a useful tool if you're trying to keep players in by manipulating numbers and spreading the hit over time, but I don't think that it's something that you want to use unless it's "necessary." I don't know that you want to get into signing rookies on roster bonuses, as the bust rate is relatively high.
    • not even if that team in New Orleans disbands before the first game.  Saw one 2026 mock that had them drafting first next year.
