What QB do you like...

Well, you got to start somewhere, Im sure the possibility of him improving in area's he needs to improve exist upon coaching, but you gotta give the kid a chance.

I agree. For me I think the best option, even if the Panthers have a 1st round pick, is to wait until the 2nd round. As of now McCoy, The Golden Calf of Bristol, Hall and Robinson should be available (unless Jacksonville does draft The Golden Calf of Bristol in the 1st) in the 2nd round. Draft McCoy in the 2nd and then sign a FA QB like Jason Campbell whose is still young but has experience. Then, if they have it, use the 1st rounder on a DT. To me getting a 1st round DT, McCoy and Campbell would be the best case senerio.

I like the idea... If we trade up for a first, I would love to take Suh, that DT from Nebreska, even though I doubt he would be available outside the top ten.

McCoy will be the best 2nd round option imo.. but if we could get Locker, would be very satisfactory haha.

Do we really need a DT in the 1st? Kemo will be back, Leonard, the rookie Irvin, Lewis, and those other guys. I think DT is deep this year as well as QB.

Realistically I can see us moving up in the 2nd to get McCoy, or staying put and getting Pike.

I forgot about LeFevour.

I think this al depends on if Pep comes back. If not trade for a high round draft pick or young talent. Maybe the Browns would be dumb enough to give us Quinn, Cribbs and Wimbley for him. That would be cool:cool:

Bradford being chronically injured changes everything. The guy I want the most is Colt McCoy. The guy just seems like a winner and he seems extremely intelligent from his interviews. BUT...he really could be the first QB taken (whether that is the middle of the first round or top 10). Bradford was undoutedly #1 but IDT anyone is going to take him that high when he gets hurt every time he gets sacked.

Well, now that we traded for a DT no reason to get a DT in the First (if we trade there) or second. Hopefully McCoy or since fiz is so big about him, LeFevour will be taken.

Then draft a Safety in the first. To me the value for the QBs this draft will be in the 2nd round and the ones that look like they may go in the first round, Clausen, Bradford, Locker, The Golden Calf of Bristol, just aren't that good IMO. All of the reports I've seen have talked about how deep this draft is with QB but not that it is overly impressive. DT, Safety, LB, DE, OT and DB is where all of the impressive talent is in the first round of this draft from what I am hearing and IMO.

Zac Robinson is going to be a good sleeper pick. Got some hype for a while, then fell off the map. The kid has a good arm, is elusive in the pocket and can run outside when needed. I would take a flyer on him in the 3rd round. Lots of potential.

Agree, McCoy and Robinson are right now the two I am looking at the most. Robinson has a Orton feel to him but with a better arm.

If we draft McCoy then we are obligated to get Shipley too.

I wouldn't object to that combo coming to Carolina one bit! Shipley returning punts and kicks while Smitty grooms him to take over for him eventually......

I like Zac Robinson. I like that he has a dual threat but is definitely pass first. He has a nice arm and gets it out quick. Being realistic, considering we don't have a 1st, I'd like to take him.

I'm a UF fan and I can tell you The Golden Calf of Bristol will not be a good QB and is someone I hope we don't draft. Love his heart and all he has done for Florida but I don't think he'll fare well.

    • lol well that kinda ended up working out in the end, even though I still don't have my jersey yet. Was supposed to ship by tomorrow this time, but just got another email saying it was delayed another 3 weeks and because it's been delayed so long, I had to tell them to keep the order or cancel it, but gave me a 25% off my next order as an apology. Well, my original fear came true and they are now selling the FUSE version (but still not the Blue unfortunately) before the one I ordered was ever shipped. But that's awesome, because I was able to use that coupon to order the FUSE instead and then cancelled the original order.  So I got the jersey I wanted for only $6.30 more than the crappier version costs, and it also says it will be shipped immediately and get here early next week, or 2 weeks before the other was now supposed to be shipped out.
    • I've watched this and think we are well underway.  Believe it or not, Bryce is a big part of this.  The way he bounced back with such grace.  And we've got a lot of young players who want to make their mark, Dave is giving them an opportunity.  I loved our draft.  I like the number of guys we brought in, and they will help build the culture we want under Dave.  We're getting closer, and I think we'll see more wins this year than most of the board. The right culture breeds winning, and winning builds the right culture.  Imho, it's coming.
    • As others have said it's both. One creates the other. But it also takes time sometimes years. And there have been teams lately with new car smell coaching staffs that looked like they were putting it together quickly but things came crashing back down to Earth. Sustainability is the key. For that to happen the meddling of our owners has to stop and they cannot be tempted to return to their ways over any bump in the road either.
