Diddy wants to buy the Panthers

First of all, Diddy can't afford the team.  The fact that when it comes to black people, you have to look at entertainers in order to buy sports teams, should tell you the wealth standing of black folk.  Their are endless white billionaires who could buy this team, and none of them have to be movie stars or rappers.  Black people are poor in this nation, with a median net worth of $4000. ($11,0000-$16,000 if you include depreciating assets.  I don't include them because depreciating assets like the family car isn't wealth)

In any case, I don't want this rapper, entertainer, wannabe entrepreneur being the owner of this team.  Especially if he is supposed to represent black folk.  Why must these entertainers be our spokesmen?  It goes back to something Malcolm X once said, but I suppose if any black entertainer should buy this team, let it be someone like Byron Allen.  However even though he's a billionaire by now, I don't believe he could afford this team.  Perhaps a guy like Robert F. Smith would like to buy the team, who's probably worth over 4 billion by now.

Bob Johnson was a horrible owner. Pretty much everything he did in Charlotte while owning the bobcats was a disaster. I still recall him attempting to charge CMS $20k for the arena to have high school graduation.

What about Dale Jr.?  He’s got ties to N.C., has a net worth of 300 million, is a business man and a football fan.

He probably can’t afford it. I think his next career move will be in the broadcasting booth. I’d like to see how he does on TV with other sports besides nascar.

There is no way the other 31 owners will approve this.  Absolutely no way.  Whatever his name is will make a mockery of the league.  Going to sign Kaepernick.

NO way.

This

those rich old conservative men would laugh for days if puff daddy tried to buy the panthers.

I wonder how involved he was in the team.  Some owners buy teams to make a profit.  Well, all owners do that, but some aren't interested in seeing the team do well in itself, or do right by the fans.

    • interesting podcast. Did my best to summarize  1  none understand why rico isnt getting 100% of snaps 2  dalton  is seasoned veteran  and for this game, could he more of a challenge for bills than young   Better arm and   Familiar with  mcdermott defense.  Has seen everything    Impressed with Tet  and Panthers do not have bad receivers and impressed by size  3  not impressed with bills passed game and Allen is being held back because of it. bills do not seem to have a consistent vertical  passing game  as in past.   No intermediate More Short passes for YAC and that hurts Allen    Could be to control pace and tempo of the game given the bills defensive weaknesses    Need intermediate to stretch zone defenses  4 bills have several returning from DL from suspension this game on defense that could help  5  atlanta beat bills offense by  blitzing  and played ton of man coverage.   No structured intermediate passing game for bills   Bills had no answer for atlanta defense either blitzes and man to man coverage    Rushed 5 or more on over 30% if Allen’s drop backs  6  compliments the panthers defense   Up and coming but has issues. Last in pressure on qb   Last in DVOA and coverage of TEs
    • jesus christ, what weird subforum did I stumble upon where people are talking like Dalton is this incredible back up that is going to throw for 400 yards and 4 TD's like we haven't seen him in this role before, and that there is this master plan to fake Bryce's high ankle sprain in order to bench him during a winning season with favorable stats?
    • It is strange, but no less surreal than him being the 1.1 in the NFL draft.  If I were in the situation the team is in, I would be Not want to aggravate that injury and would be overly cautious. He needs to be fully healthy so he can properly evaluated in these games that are coming up.  They see Dalton in practice, they saw the film from Sunday. Maybe he has looked good enough that they think a side benefit to the caution is getting to look at the offense with a different guy running it.    The worst thing that could come out of it is Bryce is hampered the rest of the season
