There are 2 types of people posting about how the Panthers are going to move: trolls and fuging idiots

You are correct Sir, If we move it will be because of a new Stadium. Other potential cities would also drive the incentives and force Charlotte to match them. I am sure the new owner will want to host a Super Bowl so a new stadium is in the mix. This is a real issue, not a dream or a troll or whatever. This is a potential disaster, if you are a panther fan.

“And so now the Panthers will be up for sale in a city that has no major college team and couldn’t care less about its NBA team. Residents will worry that Charlotte could lose the Panthers under a new owner, despite how unlikely that is. The NFL would never move a team that has sold out every home game since 2002, has made major stadium upgrades in recent years and has a city council deathly afraid of having an unoccupied stadium sitting under its proud skyline.”

ill take this over the tin foil hat speculators around the city any day

Every team that has relocated has basically done it because of stadium issues. Eventually our owner, whoever that is, will say we need a new stadium. If Charlotte ponies up some decent public money then there is no chance the Panthers go anywhere. If Charlotte says f u you get nothing then you can't look at history and say there is no chance of moving. The NFL has been happy to vote yes to owners who want to move into a shiny new stadium without hesitation. We just saw it happen three times. That will not change.

Stadium issues=San Diego and Oakland built in the 60s, not BOA in 96.

A real threat is LA, not the aforementioned.

It will.  Not.  Happen.  Even if we stand firm to whatever new owner in this declining league wants.

Even if we were in some poo market like St. Louis or Buffalo the team wouldn't be in danger of moving anytime soon. I think the NFL has learned from the PR debacle that has been the Rams and Chargers.

Yeah lol and I bet they're getting nervous about the Vegas move too

It's a tourist city. I'm really not sure what they're expecting there.

I’ll keep my tin foil hat thank you. I have tried not to point anyone out or insult anyone, and I would appreciate the same treatment. I am looking at this from a business side nothing more. Let’s be honest here BOA buys tons of tickets each game to keep the “sale out” going. Every game you can see empty seats, and not just a few. We can revisit this tin foil hat discussion in about 3 years. I’m sure it will still be relevant at that point.

Ok I’ll completely trust your opinion and the Charlotte Observer’s point of view. I’m sure the new owner will consider each respected source.

And what markets do you think could :

A - Be able to afford a new stadium

B - Not cost the NFL money after the debacle the Chargers and Rams have proven

C - Has a city that's faster growing that Charlotte

That would be a threat to us losing the Panthers.

I'll wait.

Dude I’d love for this to be the case. However, How many stadiums has the falcons built since Ericsson/BOA opened. I’m not being a troll, I am not being a jerk, I’m simply stating the next owner, an unknown entity at that, will control our base location. Please remember, the Panthers are one of the few privately held NFL teams. The owner is not tied to anything or anyone.

And don’t forget the 15+ million represented by the Carolinas as a whole, our namesake, not just Charlotte.

1.

The falcons have had 1 stadium change since BoA opened and BoA has had more recent and major renovations than the Georgia Dome.

On top of that the Falcons were not a very good market. More people probably care about the Braves than the Falcons. You could even argue the same about the Hawks. This is just a flashy new stadium to try and increase ticket sales.

    • I’m old enough to remember when I wanted to draft Njoku We brought back Mitchell and officially kept Tremble. Mitchell Evans isn’t going anywhere. Sanders who knows, he was awful last year I fully agree we need a better TE. This room is awful Njoku would be a massive help in the red zone. However it really seems like Dan and the FO prefer to go young on offense
    • You’re underselling Loveland imo. He’s so damn good. You can line him out wide and count on him to win 1 v 1. I don’t see that from Sadiq. Loveland is going to go over 1000 yards next season I’m not overly asking for a WR3. It’s just one of the few directions Morgan could go in round 1.  Let’s say Thieneman, Fano and Cooper are all on the board it’s a tough decision. I just don’t see how this team would take Sadiq over some of those guys given the way they run their offense. Our tight end room is easily bottom of the league so I can definitely see why someone would want a tight end though. At one point during the season I was on the Sadiq train as well. I just don’t think value wise for us specifically it makes sense given our team as a whole As far as tight ends go in this draft I really like Max Klare. Very smooth mover
    • Some of you need some serious help with the way 9 lives rent free in your heads I know for a fact, Dan loves Bryce. Bryce is his guy. This offense is very young and they’re asking Bryce to do a lot. With Idzik taking over playcalling duties it’s a move that is another step in the process of Bryce taking control of the offense. 24 years old. This youth movement on offense and putting more on 9’s shoulders is going to pay off in the long run
