100% of Panthers will be for sale

Not just Richardson's 48% share, the whole enchilada.

Full 100% of Panthers for sale

Quote

Panthers controlling owner Jerry Richardson owns only 48 percent of the franchise. But much more than 48 percent of the team will be for sale.

According to the team, the full 100 percent of the franchise’s equity will be available, when the team is placed on the market after the 2017 season ends.

I mean... When the "team" is for sale, I'd think the whole team....not just a %

Richardson only owns about 47-48% of the team. The remaining shares are divided among several people.

This means whoever's buying the team is gonna have to pay full price.

Also means those other owners are gonna be out.

Well, I don’t feel good about this any longer

I feel even BETTER about this.  Whoever buys the team will need MAJOR cheese and have the $$$ to fund the best staff/FO he can, invest in an indoor practice facility, etc. or risk taking a hit on their already overpriced investment.

I understand that completely, just wouldn't ever think someone would publicly say a team is for sale unless it was all of it, if it was just his shares, it'd be done behind closed doors for sure

    • I agree but he honestly has gotten better about this. Used to be he’d do it like 4-5 times a game, now it’s like 2-3. Overall I’m incredibly happy with his game, his D has been solid and when he is playing his role he’s a solid scorer and one of the few guys who can consistently finish at the rim and provide that threat. Plus he’s electric and LaMelo loves him. Going into the season I was sure he would just be a stop gap here but now I’m reconsidering and could see him continue to be a “core” piece here. Obviously not on the level of the other starters but he is an important cog for this team. We felt his missed presence during his and Moose’s suspensions.
    • Philly will be a bigger challenge than the Knicks were IMO. George and Embiid are back, not sure about Maxey but Embiid alone is a nightmare matchup for us and Moose. We’ve never really done well against him. Celtics added Tatum but honestly not sure they’re all that much better with him right now than they were when we whooped them a few weeks ago. We should be able to at the very least split these 2, hopefully take both.
