The requirements (don't quote me) are like within a 45 mile radius. So Charlotte hotels would still be in play. Hell....North Columbia would be close

I have to imagine the possibility of loads more parking space directly around the stadium would pique your interest.

Wasn’t there a minor league baseball team that went out to sc, had terrible attendance, moved to uptown and is now a big success? Who was that again?

Sorry, sc is not getting an nfl team. They would need to pony up big and they don’t have enough money to fix their roads.

PSLs would transfer, I imagine. And the Panthers are much more significant draw than a minor league baseball team.

And as mentioned, there are significant benefits to having an NFL team. So basically it's spend money to make money.

You are still funneling all that traffic onto 77.

But not for very far, and additional road construction can be done. And easier parking options might help offset traffic issues.

All of these things are factors that developers would take into consideration.

PSL's are only good for BOA. New stadium new psl's. Will be interesting to see what they do thought. Can't imagine them screwing current PSL owners.

We just barely fill what we have. Going bigger doesn't help. The team is still selling PSL 23 seasons in. Starting over with more won't go over well. If anything I think the trend would be for smaller stadiums ìn the future.

With current trends there really isn't a logical argument for a new stadium. It's a crazy amount of money for a sport on the decline. The positive about the Panthers is that purchasing them gets you a stadium with no need to go through the hassle of raising money and battling governments to build one. In a prime location to do with as you see fit. Fill that thing every other week in the Summer with events and the concessions are yours. Seems idiotic to build another now.

I could see them transferring, but perhaps charging a fee.

That said, hasn't one of the big complaints about BOA been the "wine and cheese" crowd?

Plus, imagine if whoever the developer is would say these magic words to the team:

"Indoor practice facility"...

Logical or not, as Sabates pointed out, the team is going to want one, and quite possibly sooner rather than later.

6 people in South Carolina are Panthers fans and their biggest population center is roughly 135k(Charleston, SC for those that don't want to Google it).

I think this is the dumbest thing I have ever read on the Huddle.

This is the dumbest thing I have ever read on the Huddle.  There are a lot of Panther fans in SC.  I recently moved to Greenville from Charlotte see tons of Panthers gear here and Panther flags flying.  Charleston may be biggest City, but I believe the Greenville-Spartanburg area has a larger population.
