We will know who should of been our GM

I wish marty, gettleman, and bean were all on different teams and we already had our new gm. I want that just so that we can get an idea of how their drafting styles are outside of the vacuum of being apart of our team. Also would be cool to see teams valuing our scouts and other staff members.

Gman always went after biggest need (not necessarily a position) in round 1. The exception was 2016 draft which was very reactionary.

Run D in 2013 lead to Star, kb for red zone O in 14, Shaq for buffalo nickel in 15, offensive evolution = McCaffrey last year. I don't know what that is for the Giants this year but that's where I'd expect that pick to go. Then again, he never had the 2nd overall pick here either.

Star was bpa, dude was projected as high as 1-2 a lot of places untip his heart isuues popped up that scared people

KB was bpa as well along with need

Shaq wasnt and based more on need

Butler, many leading up in the draft said Gettleman was higher on Butler than that the TE Henry, DE like Ogbah or Dodd, etc.  And most said that was the bigger Need.  Gettleman went with the BPA there.

This years wasnt really BPA either

I get the sentiment, but let's be real. No other team in the league is hiring Marty Hurney.

Hurney was available for years after his first unscheduled departure and nobody even sniffed in his direction.

Heck, once Jerry Richardson is out, there's no guarantee we want him either.

Was he really about hog mollies when he barely drafted any Oline talent? Like Turner, Moton, Williams? That's it.

Hurney hogmollies > Gettleman hogmollies

That is the truth.

Impact hogmollies: Jordan Gross, Ryan Kalil, Julius Peppers, Mike Rucker, Brenston Buckner, Kris Jenkins, Evan Mathis, Geoff Hangartner, Charles Johnson, Jeff Otah, Greg Hardy, Kevin Donnalley, Mike Wahle, Jeff Mitchell, Travelle Wharton, Jeno James, Reggie White, Ma'ake Kemoeatu and Justin Hartwig.

Gettleman gave us Trai Turner, Andrew Norwell, Kawann Short, and Star Lotulelei.

The Panthers have had 26 hogmollies season performances with an AV of 10 or greater in their history. Gettleman has 2 hogmollies on that list. Hurney has 21 hogmollies on that list (including the top 9 performances in Panthers history).

Hurney holds the crown for best GM in Panthers history and he will retain that long in to the future. Let's not forget Hurney also has the most value of any GM when it comes to current players in the NFL with ALL Pro and Pro Bowl honors - that is with being out of the league for 4 seasons.

Argue all you want and come up with excuses. Try to negate all his success with the 2009/2010 tank years courtesy of Richardson's CBA mission not allowing the Panthers to draft a 1st round pick.
