It's lousy of me because I won't take part in dreaming up a scenario where an innocent man could lose his job? Right...

I can't speak for Scot but I want him to lose his job because he's unqualified for it.  This drama is the last thing this team needs.

So what Hurney and his ex can't get along?  Got to keep that behind closed doors though because everyone has opinion and to this franchise apparently that matters.

I'm laughing at the dysfunction.

What a sad legacy the once revered founder will leave.

Didn't read a word of what I said, did you?

It's called "speculation" and it happens all the time.  Doesn't mean it's what I want to happen.

And let's be real: You don't know that Hurney's innocent.  You assume so because that's your judgment, but none of us know. My position is that I don't know either way.  My hope is that the truth comes out regardless of what ultimately happens with the GM job because that's what's best and real life is more important than football.

For someone who fells like they've got a firm idea on a situation involving people they don't know, you don't have any idea about the reality of someone you've talked to directly.

What we do know:

The judge denied her claim (which apparently is unusual)

Both attorneys have said it's BS

Her attorney suggests it won't go to court

She withdraws her claim as soon as Hurney brings it to light

Yeah, that's enough for me to honor "innocent until proven guilty".

Stop being so sensitive. You were literally saying he won't survive this because of court of public opinion. No one is accusing you of directly wanting an innocent man canned. I'm just not agreeing your suggestion is resonable based on the info we know at this time.

Yeah I want him out because he's a bad GM too. If his ex wife is going to make some meritless claims that's out of his control and he doesn't deserve to be punished for it

Oh really?

Oh I'm reading it and I get what you're suggesting/praying for. I'm just not going to jump on your bandwagon of excitement for removing a man from his job because of some retracted accusations that both attorneys and the judge have all said have no merit just because YOU think youre painting some rational picture of how this "could" unfold.

Yeah, this is what I'm "praying for". My second choice was for Marty to get  hit by a car. That was before I decided to just dream up a scenario where an innocent man could lose his job instead.

He's subject to only team or league sanctions if any are warranted, which doesn't appear to be any justification for based on what I've read if the situation.

I still want him gone.  Bad juju around that man.

You have been leading the hate Hurney bandwagon for weeks. Seriously....just stop trying spin this. It's lousy of you.

Yes.  I hate the man personally.  You got me.  Can't escape your clear powers of perception.

You accused me of hoping for a bad thing to happen to someone in real life over football.  I called you on it and quoted where you did it,  Now instead of manning up and apologizing for it, you're trying to deflect.

That tells me a lot.

    • They can get film of all the games? Every team? Wow! Who knew… Our games with them are big examples of why they are in  the CB market so hard.   It is the study they do getting ready for the games.  Preparing to play against is a little different than just analyzing film in scout mode. Deeper dive. Then you are analyzing post game too.  This goes to why players often change teams but stay in the division. The opponents know each other on a higher level.  Plus if you lost to us, you used to get fired. Now you have to trade your first round pick. Moving up on the world.
    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
