Admittedly didn't see the game but great comeback last night and took it to OT so not a bad loss at Portland.  Kemba with 40.

It actually was terrible. Literally was Kemba going beast mode like usual while Clifford stood there wondering why Kemba can’t save us at the end up the game. Idk maybe because he is fuging gassed and no one else on the team can score. Batum went 1-8 from 3. The only plays he knows are Kemba iso and screens to get him open. If Kemba isn’t an option the team can’t even inbound the damn ball.

It was one of the worst coached games I’ve seen from Clifford this season. That’s saying a lot.

I just cannot for the life of me figure out why Clifford will not play Monk now.  Batum isnt defending and just isnt playing well.  Give Monk some fuggin mins.  I dont care if he isnt guarding he can score.  Maddening.

And...if you are dying to get rid of Batum just sit him.  Clifford is so hard headed and steadfast (NO MONK) it frustrates the fug out of me.  How can he work and learn being "bored" on the bench.  Jordan needs to come down and tell Clifford...look man, you are playing Monk.  Period.

Clifford's ego CAN'T play Monk now.  If he comes in and goes off Clifford will look like the fuggin idiot he is.  Sick of it.

Kemba is the new Steve Smith, getting screwed by poor coaching.    Except being a much better person, teammate, and not punching out teammates lol.

The basketball GODS were not happy Kemba wasn't selected and systematically started hurting all-stars till they put him in.    The league is now safe.

It’s odd, a ton of ppl are going off saying Ben Simmons should have made it over Kemba. A couple say Kemba should have been in but Simmons should have made it over Dragic. I find it odd that ppl think Kemba should not have made it. He averages more points than Simmons and let’s not even look at the threes. Simmons is Vet good, sure, but Kemba should be an All star.

I would take Simmons over Kemba right now, but Kemba is the better player right now.

    • A winning record would be nice, but I still have us winning around the 6 to 8 game mark. Realistically we should beat the Jets and Saints, that gets us to 5 wins. After that, we have to face a lot of potential play off teams and our divisional opponents. I think we’ll win 1 or 2 of those games to take us to 6 or 7 wins, perhaps 8 wins if we can spring a further surprise.  Is that enough progress for head coach and QB? I’m not sure, it will depend on performances and output. That said, it’s nice to be back in a position where we are thinking about the play offs.
    • I would tend to agree about not falling into the trap and paying a below average QB, but sometimes situations can “force” a team to pay that QB. For example, if we play ourselves into a 9-8 like record, then what options will we have in the draft? Or do we avoid the draft and trade for or sign someone in free agency?  I’m not convinced by the 2026 QB draft class. There’s some intriguing prospects but no one that really screams “draft me”. I’m not sure we’ve got anyone really that stands out as a trade candidate or free agent signing. So although we might not want to commit a big money contract to Young, him playing well and showing progress might force the team’s hand.
    • Realistically we would be looking at no more than a mid round pick for Dowdle or Chuba. Are we really that desperate for a mid round pick? Not really. I would much prefer us utilise the two RBs in a 1-2 punch similar to how we used D-Will and Stewart. After all, Bryce is not Drew Brees. He won’t throw for 300+ yards and carry the team consistently as a passer. So having a strong running game with a 1-2 punch will be beneficial to him, and it will also be beneficial to the RBs because we can spell them and not overwork them.
