Some 'Around the NFL' stuff

Saw that an old opponent of ours, Jahri Evans, is set to retire. Evans played a while for the Saints before moving to the Packers.  I remember back when the Saints had Evans and Carl Nicks (later Ben Grubbs).  They had some really solid OL combinations but couldn't keep them together for all that long.

In other 'old friend' news, it's looking like the Colts are going to go from hiring the OC from the Super Bowl loser to the one from the Super Bowl winner.  They're said by several analysts to be targeting Philly OC (and inaugural Panthers QB) Frank Reich.  If that happens, the Eagles will be losing both their QB Coach (DeFilippo is now the Vikes OC) and their OC.  Mike Shula and Ken Dorsey are available of course, but speculation is that the Eagles go in a different direction.

And apparently coach firing season isn't over yet.  The Buccaneers reportedly just fired their defensive line coach (a guy who was coaching at Notre Dame when Lake Dawson was there, oddly enough).  Gotta wonder if they'll give our old friend Brentson Buckner a call.

Where did you see the Jahri Evans news? Can't find that anywhere. Always interested when probable hall of famers retire.

Colts got the better end of the deal. Reich will be a better head coach than McDaniels

How is it Panthers seem to have high in demand people a la McD, Beane...yet also people like Shula, Hurney who will never qualify to do what they do for any other team. Just seems the wrong people get promoted while others only get promoted when they move teams.

Colts got dicked down dirty by Mcdaniels but Reich is a really good hire for them.
