What Do You Think About Steve Comments

Well, I suppose we could have tried to get Smith the ball a few more times and had Jake throw another pick 6 to lose the game. Or we could stick with the run and leave with a win. Delhomme has terrible accuracy, no pocket presence, and makes idiotic decisions with the ball at the slightest hint of pressure. The bucs would have blown us away today if we had tried even 10 more pass attempts.

IMO Fox dose not have control of his team. First Beason now Smith. Both have reason to be upset. Henning was fired and Davidson was supposed to be the person that would solve the Double on Smith and the run game. I think the rumors are true and I am happy. Its ether Fox this year or the team.......

Steve Smith has a right to be upset. The playcalling sucks, he's the best offensive threat we have on the receiving side of the ball. We have to make other teams fear or at least prepare to defend the pass. How can we do that when he doesn't even get the ball, cause while he's being double covered Delhomme still won't throw to another WR, except every now and then Moose. We need a QB

Smith isnt hardly getting hit and is getting a paycheck doing very little work. He probably feels like the money he is earning isn't really earned. So why save that money? Go out and spend spend spend.

Jake Delhomme is a HO. Hand Offer. He is no longer a QB, he should never throw again. I would be happy if we did the wildcat with smith, stewart and williams. Not our wildcat which is basically a direct snap...but more of what the dolphins do with motion and trickery. Leave moose out wide cause he is a great blocker. But this way we can get all out playmakers in the game and leave jake's usless ass on the sidelines.

We are a one dimensional team and i bet if teams put all 11 in the box jake wouldn't even be able to hit smith.

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
