Navarro may of been better served not to of blown his wad early on and slowly increased to make Jerry feel like all the wiggle room was fine

Which may be why Mark Richardson advertised the fact that he might be willing to continue his buy in of partial ownership.

Richardson didn't really do any of that stuff though.  The law firm handling the sale did.

And again, I think you have to consider we're dealing with someone of whom it's been said that his mind isn't what it once was.  That's the problem with applying logic.  Richardson may not be completely logical anymore.

True enough but it just seems much more logical to me that he’s using Kestenbaum to try and penny pinch Navarro. It’s very much ruined this offseason and draft for me man. I’d love to be focused on who we are getting tonight instead I’m worried about our crazy future former owner selling the team to someone equally as shitty with no passion for the team.

It's not like they are selling a used car here. It won't move quickly. Billions of dollars, yanno?

Granted, but there were definite indications that it was nearly over.  Heck, Gantt predicted two weeks ago that everything would be done well before the draft.  And he wasn't the only one saying that.

Obviously, no final signatures were done, but I'd love to know just how close it got before things went kablooey.

Jerry has to realize that the longer he drags this out the more articles like the SI one are going to come out. He reportedly decided to sell "on his own" to preserve his legacy and now he is setting himself up to get raked over the coals for even longer.

So now we're listening to Gantt? I thought the Huddle consensus was he was a hack who wore too much eye-liner.

I'm not so sure selling will stop the news coming out.  Now that one has declared that JR broke the NDA first, others may come out with their stories.

It wasn't just Gantt saying this. Peralta and Rothacker expected it too.  National guys like Rapoport, Breer and others were on board too.

Tinfoil Hat On: I'm kinda looking at the Mark Richardson story a little differently now.

What if it was meant as a hint, i.e. "Hey dad, why don't you just go ahead and sell to this guy and let's be done with it?"

Mark may know that his dad could potentially screw this up.
