gotta Make a move for cb this next rd imo.

The question is, what is our threshold for Oliver/Jackson?

At what pick do we get to, one is available, and we start making calls? I think maybe around 38.

Depending how high we are on these guys is what it boils down to imo, don’t forget dontae Jackson as well.  Soon as the run starts I pick up the phone and try and make a deal to move up

Donte Jackson fits our scheme really well. We had a private workout and he may very well be a top target of ours.

I'm totally game for a move up if it's for Oliver, Bates, Josh J.

Donte is super interesting though.   Reid, meh.

Wow.

Let's factor in WRs are likely to start moving like Miller, Sutton, Hamilton, St. Brown, etc. I think we'll be halfway through this next round and have a guy in target we can use our 5th to move up just a bit for.  We won't have to mortgage the 3rd but enough to assure a talent we want.  There's some damn good ones on that list that were continuously mocked in the first.

Also, as is EVERY year, safeties are set with low values and not ranked how the consensus were on the sites.  It's like that every year haha.

Who's worth moving up for if available let's say at 44??

What does our 5th get us, 3 spots?

Not sure if it is worth it.  A decent move is going to take our third which I really don't want to give up, too many holes on this team.

Not a fan of future year picks either, you basically lose a round of value on them.

At the end of the day you just have to watch your board, if you can move up for a reasonable amount for a guy that a good bit higher on your board then maybe.

I agree fully if we can nab one of the 3 cb without giving up this years two 3rds this would be by far one our best drafts on paper in years. I’d be stoked

That would be my hope in our strategy.

If we can find a way the budge up a bit to ensure a particular talent, f it, let's do it while keeping both of those thirds.  That's 4 top-100 talent.  Maybe we do wait, but I can see us being agressive since there's such quality secondary guys available.

Everyone seems to want secondary help, how many guys are left that you all would be happy with at 55?

CBs: Josh Jackson, Davis, Oliver, Donte Jackson

S: Reid, Bates, Harrison

You would think there is a chance at least one makes it to 55.  I wonder how close they are graded on our board?

    • I'm really not stressing about upgrading from Bryce. I'm frustrated with our inability (or refusal) to recognize overall bad QB performance and failure to seriously address the issue. QB is the most impactful position on the field, and we're not only settling for what we've been given to this point, but we've rewarded it with a fully guaranteed 5th year extension for a player that's never played 2 NFL franchise QB quality games back to back in 3 seasons. I can't understand how that's ok from a coach's or GM's viewpoint. Successful franchises don't do things like this. It just doesn't make sense.  We do not have a top half of the league QB right now. Since we don't have that player, we should be looking for him. Pickett isn't it. Grier isn't it. Bryce hasn't proven he is yet. Until you have that sure fire franchise QB, you keep looking. You're not consistently making the playoffs, a deep run, or a SB appearance without one.  What's the worst that could happen? We end up with 2 potential number 1 QBs? How horrible.
    • Easy to understand Pickett, if this is anywhere close to on point. Canales wants to get as close to Bryce as he can- get the pace and timing in the throws as close a he can to Bryce. So the other players don’t have to adjust so much, to a new guy.       If Cam was the 1, he would look for a rocket arm.  But Bryce is the 1. Look for limited in the same way.  Low velocity, plenty of air under it, feels just like home when Picket comes in. And you have the guys on the second team not having such a radical adjustment (if they have to play) like with Dalton to Bryce.    Enter Grier. I guess we will collect those types.
    • Best part is if we draft him, we can also use him as our fourth and one QB sneaker
