Love the first four picks, scratching my head at the next four.  For forever, it seemed like the Huddle always cheered Hurney's drafts and they often disappointed.  Now the Huddle is all about criticizing Hurney's draft, so it's almost inevitable that it turns out to be a great one.

hurney pretty much went out and showed the world that he has not changed one iota since he got fired in 2012

he stayed on the ball and picked a good prospect at 24. that’s all i can give him credit for. after that, he was the same old pissin in the wind GM we’ve always known. getting cute with tweeners, undersized guys, and conversion projects, and leaving actual football players that are more pro-ready on the board.

i hope everybody here likes eating their hats on sundays this fall

Moore instantly make us better and starts, is exactly what we needed. Jackson I can get on board with and will probably start at Nickel, good speed and an upgrade. I can't completely get on board with Gaulden yet. His metrics are a big concern and we're hoping his football IQ translates to the NFL. I start falling off after that with the decision to move back and statistically pick guys that only last 2-3 years in the NFL. I would have liked us to be more aggressive in the 2-3 rounds than we were. Maybe we tried, who knows. I hope they all do well but my opinion is: B-, until another day.

First 4 picks was great. The last 4 was I don't know what the f u c k. We need  a linebacker but why 2. And why draft another DT and DE? It's like they celebrated the night before with coke and liquor. Only to wake up the next day in a confused daze. Is JR supplying drugs in the war room?

    • Exactly He's played two seasons and started 28 games. He's well beyond the point of being able to point to 2 or 3 games and being able to say, "THAT is the QB he is and will be in the future" Of course he can get there, but anyone trying to use just those couple of games to rank his place amongst the games QB's today and their full career's worth of playing at that level, is just asinine. Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Hurts, Herbert, Daniels, Stafford, Goff, Geno, Purdy, Baker, Love, Dak, Tua, Kyler, Lawrence That's 17 QB's right there that have played better over their careers than Bryce has played at his best.  And I'm not saying they're all studs or guys I'd want to be our QB moving forward, Tua for example I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole, but his body of work is a million times better than Bryce's has been. It's also not including any of the other QB's drafted in 2023/2024 other than Daniels. So again, say you believe in Bryce, say you think he's going to prove he can and should be our QB of the future, that's all fair and totally fine. But nobody can say he's been an above average QB in his career thus far, it's just an asinine notion.
    • I'd think we could get one of those from Dallas for... whatever.
