Matt Moore Should Start Sunday

You can judge alot by where they were drafted, or more accurately, whether they were drafted or not. Now that Josh Johnson is starting in TB, there are a grand total of 2 UDFA QBs starting in the NFL, Warner and Delhomme. And Kurt Warner was at a 1AA school, in Iowa, in the mid 90s, its no shock he didnt get drafted(or much of a look at all). Moore played at UCLA and then Oregon State.

I can show you a whole bunch of players that win monthly awards, all it takes is a good game or two, and it doesnt mean a thing. And you of course just use those 3 meh games(when no one besides Dallas had any film on him) playing with an incredibly dumbed down offense, and ignore the pre-season and regular season since where he looked like he would struggle to keep a job as a 3rd stringer in the Arena League 1 or whatever its called.

Moore will be playing for the Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings next year.

Maybe he can join Brett Basanez, another mediocre UDFA who Panthers fans gushed over but when it was all said and done had no viable NFL options outside of Carolina. Strange aint it?

You are acting like we think he is the next Brady or Manning. I think at best he is another game manager that can throw a deep pass every now and again. But guess what I still think he is the best QB on our roster (not saying much but still). Jake is TO proned Feely is a never was. Matt is a ? mark. That is upgrade in my eyes. Maybe he comes in and sucks up the place were used to it its not like Jake is lighting it up. Or maybe he turns the ship around and we finish above .500.

You are using Preseason and College to try to make a case against him and I give you examples of what he did in the Reg Season. Some guys just don't turn it on till they start to matter (see Matt Cassel last preseason). We are never going to know if Fox and those like you don't give him a shot.

The Dallas game, he didn't play bad. He played ok. He also gave us a chance to actually pull out W, but we was cheated of course and the line couldn't stop Dallas 3-4 blitzes

He played much better in his starts than Jake has this season. Garbage time is garbage time. Preseseason snaps w/ guys who won't land on NFL teams and backups also isn't going to tell you much. I think it is clear if he can bring what he brought in those 3 starts in 07....it would be a much needed improvement. That also isn't claiming it was GREAT play....Delhomme is now playing THAT bad. No point no attempting to see if we can get better QB play b/c Jake has had more than enough of a chance to prove he can snap out of it.

How on earth can we possibly see how Moore can do if we don't give him the chance? Your basically saying he will be horrible with no real evidence to support that as I have no real evidence to support my case. All I know is in the short time he got to play in the NFL when it mattered he played a hell of a lot better then Jake has looked the last year.

Yea only 3 INTs in those 2 games, and under 200 yards passing vs Washington, fuging stellar.

If that is what is considered "pretty well" then the standard is really low among some fans.

seriously, that makes no sense. We have seen Jake on his worst days...several times in recent history. Football games aren't even played on those days. You can't even put into words this now Very Bad Jake that will show up on occassion. We saw that guy 2 games in a row (AZ, Phi). So that is better than Moore? That is just retarded.

Again, Moore plays preseason ball w/ guys working in Walmart now and backups....you can't put much weight into that. Delhomme got the #1s to play w/ didn't move the ball well then either....how many pointless preseason TDs did Jake have?
