Don't get me wrong, I love Jake Delhommes fire and passion for the game. I like it when my QB gets fired up and shows emotion during the game. But for what we're getting from him, our starting QB, our backup Moore can do, and better. I assure you that Moore would spread the ball around and make defenses back off the eight man front.

We need to know what Matt Moore can do and Jake Delhomme needs to ride the bench. If Matty doesn't work out maybe Jake will have his poo together in a few weeks. If Jake has anything left it would be good for him to step away from the starters role for a bit.

But don't get me wrong I want Matt to take the reigns and never look back.

too early to toss the season away. if Jake plays as poor as you guys think he will, we will be out of it by December and Matt will have plenty of time to see what he can do. Until then it makes no sense to replace Jake with someone who hasn't started in 2 years and then for 3 games. otherwise Moore's stats have been poor. If he can't excel against third stringers in preseason, he will really suffer against first stringers.

Season's not truly over until we're officially out of the playoff hunt. Until then, the staff has made its bed with Jake and they have to deal with the consequences, for better or for worse. Not happy with the way's he's playing but I'm not happy with our passing scheme as even I'm beginning to see the same routes every week.

Oh, and for old time's sake...

START WEINKE!!!

    • Any affirmation of Bryce in terms of a few more years is pretty damned ominous.   I have been a proponent of interpreting all of this as coach speak but that is as much wishing it is coach speak on my part as anything. Keeping the denial in play as long as possible.
    • Bet we get the Bucs game two.
    • I think incompetence is a little strong. He was given a nightmare QB to work with and forced to start him right away.   He knew immediately that it wouldn’t work like that and tried to get Andy in and when that happened the difference was night and day as far as the look and feel of the offense.   He may be short on innovation and in that sense behind the curve of the modern day league but there is a lot stuff he knew about the QB position and the league in general. The fundamentals of the position don’t change as far as your footwork and form etc.  If Fitterer indeed assembled that staff and Bryce was forced on him with that the likes of Thomas Brown being his OC Frank was given an impossible situation.     Nothing against Brown other than he was a running back and not that experienced and the last type of pedigree that I would trust to develop a rookie QB.   I have no doubt people were telling Bryce different things.     Anyhow aside from all that I am  sort of interested to see how bad the NYJ offense gets abused this year with him running it.  I mean I do agree that the league has passed him by philosophically. Though it is swinging a little back to the old school.     Which we have had to do as well.  And the prescription for a weak inexperienced QB really was just about what Ceank ran.  Conservative, strong running game.   When we have tried to do otherwise with Bryce it is mostly miss not too much hit.  I mean cutting him loose to do a pass first attack has been a disaster when we can’t run the ball.
