From his perspective, we should have paid him and waited for him to heal. That's not really practical, but how many guys do you know who would respond to losing an 8 million dollar a year contract by saying "Okay, that's fair, I understand"?

It's like a guy getting mad at you for not buying his lame racehorse three months before Derby season. Good luck to him on his future endeavors elsewhere, but to quote The Who, "Won't be fooled again."

I'd agree it's his own fault, but I wouldn't bet on him accepting that anytime soon, if ever.

Bottom Line: No matter whose fault it is, he ain't playin' for us.
