When I went to the Superbowl in San Fran, I was wearing my 51 jersey. Was waiting in a line and this very nice woman came up to me and said, " you know he was my husband".  I said are you Mrs. Mills? She said she was and she had visited her son in the locker room. We talked about what her husband had meant to the team and the fact some of us still remembered him and his legacy. She was pleased someone was wearing her husband's jersey. I was glad to let her know her husband wasn't forgotten. So hell yeah I believe in keep pounding and all it represents.

Well, one good thing came from San Jay's shitty thread. Good story, thanks for sharing.

I believe in keep pounding. How much? I've been planning a fun scuba diving/underwater debris cleanup event for the past 3 weeks. Weekend forecast here in Korea is for dreary rainy weather, which turned off more than a few of the non- keep pounding volunteers.

How did I keep pounding!! My grandpas marinade for grilling chicken, and a fuggin keep pounding attitude. Rain doesnt mean poo when you are underwater. And this train doesnt stop!

Non-Panther fans don't know poo about "Keep pounding"....but I'm going to introduce it to about 10 other expats here in Korea tomorrow. Keep pounding means getting poo done. The end!

As a fellow diver, kudos to you for helping cleanup the seas and reefs. I wish we wouldn't keep dumping refuse in the ocean as if out of sight out of mind ever works with anything.

Keep Pounding is just a catch phrase.  A marketing tool to drum up fan support.

The man who said it first, lived it, embodied it, and spread it through the organization before it was the slogan.  Through his tireless work ethic, determination, undying spirit and willingness to lay it all on the line, Sam Mills gave this franchise its first true heartbeat.  A single universally accepted truth that would unify all Panthers fans and players a like.

There is a reason he and he alone has a statue outside of Bank of America Stadium, not only for his heroic feats on the field, but his passion, love, and example.

So do I believe in a crowd chant?  A billboard sign?  Some stitching in the collar of a jersey made in china?

You're God Damned Right I do.

    • well, players dictating things only works if you have the right collection of players to dictate things.  and in all honesty, not sure if we can answer if we do or don't as fans given......there are no Thomas Davis types around that we know are actually about X and Y (based on years showing it).  Collective team is too new to us to know what these dudes are really about in terms of players carrying the burden of culture.
    • Moore can be put in one of the vet spots on IR. No one will be checking for him at the start of the season. But I would be very perturbed if we tried to go all Gettlemagic and stash an obvious talent like Horn on practice squad like we did Butker. If we can get through this year, next year it will be obvious Moore and AT will be gone, starting namely with AT's contract.
    • Culture change comes from the top down, not from drafting a 3 and no D guard. I doubt Lamelo is gonna take his cues from this 20yr old kid lol. If Brandon Miller couldn’t change the culture with how good he is and how much he hustles on both ends, Kon Knueppel sure as hell ain’t changing it. Ace Bailey by all accounts is also a great teammate and hard worker, btw, who was drafted by a team he supposedly didn’t want to go to yet he immediately bought in. And he’s got actual length and tools on both ends of the floor. I feel this pick is going to age like milk rather quickly.
