How Ron could keep his job

Realistically we need to sweep the Saints and beat the Falcons along with the Bucs. What's going to happen though is we are going to drop both games to the Saints and get beat by the Falcons. So we will end up 7-9 and that should be enough to end Rivera. Not because of the win/loss record but how it happened. Or Tepper is a pussy and keeps Rivera and we suck another 3 years and Cam leaves.

You sure we can beat the Bucs and the Browns? With this defense it wouldn't surprise me if they blow them all.

They picked the coach so this is so not comparable its a bit amusing you'd bring it up.

After Tepper hires his own GM/coaching combo then this point has merit. As it stands he bought a business that is average and is being ran by people he's never dealt with before, worked with before, or hired/interviewed to get the job in the first place.

Rooney makes the decisions and the other owners are their own man with their own ideas of what to do. There is nothing even close to saying that all of their minority owners agree with Rooney nor does it mean that they would run any team the way Rooney does. But regardless Rivera already has shown over the last near decade what he's about and any half ass owner would want their own in place.

poo there are people in business who would fire Rivera for the simple fact that he was a JR guy and if he did win he'd have to hear that it was JRs coach. Not saying Tepper is like that but all the easier when the fool acts the fool to get rid of him.

I would love the excitement of a new coach but I will believe it when I see it.

Making assumptions about what Tepper will or won’t do because it’s what “anyone” would do would be incorrect logic.

Keep in mind if he did what all of us want, he would be like all of us, and only have any to do on a message board,...

the guy buys a football team and puts dents in the universe,... not what everyone else thinks or wants.

so maybe Ron gets fired tonight,... maybe he never gets fired, ever. Maybe Ron coaches the Panthers for longer than Don Shula was with the Dolphins,...

Short answer is no. Long answer is we could lose every game from now on and it's quite possible but a trash game or two will inflate our wins.

    • Woods has had 600 yards in 2 years with Stroud. He's done. Collins blew up with Stroud and had a ton more everything in Stroud’s rookie year than he did in his first two years combined. Mingo sucks but his rookie season was about the same as Collins. The Texans won 10 games with rookie Stroud. They won 11 total games in the 3 years prior. They had a poo roster before the 2023 draft. The Panthers had a better team before the 2023 draft. That was my point that Stroud (and Anderson) jumped the Texans to another level. No one thought of Nico Collins as a stud before Stroud. They were one of the worst teams in the league from 2020-2022. We won 6 more games over the same time period.
    • 1 here. I don't think we are very good. Maybe we can be entertaining though. Anyway, I would rather be pleasantly surprised with a couple of wins, rather than being angry and annoyed every Sunday because the team is just flat out terrible.
