Tepper, give the fans the first thing to be really excited about since you took over as owner

And fire Rivera and Hurney now. There is zero reason at all to wait until after the season ends. Get a head start on looking for candidates and get these losers out of the organization ASAP. There's really no other choice as an owner at this point. If Norv doesn't want the interim job give it to Scott, he couldn't even be any worse than Rivera and it doesn't matter what happens those next two games. Anyone disagree?

Nope, don't disagree at all.  I was in the "wait until the season is over" camp, but am ok with that or tomorrow now.  Get Cam on IR and get that shoulder fixed.  Cut the chaff on defense and the offensive line and build from our incredible young core.  We can jump back next year if we get a coach who has a clue and some offensive linemen that can keep Cam on his feet.

At this point, we do need to let Ron, Marty, etc. go and play Heinicke the rest of the year to see if we have a decent QB2 for our future behind Cam.

Great guy off the field, but this team is completely lost. They literally cannot play 60 minutes of complete football on both sides, and finish off teams when in the lead.

  • 6-2 at the halfway point..... lost 6 straight
  • 15-1 season looks like an anomaly --- you take away this year and his regular season record is 55-53
  • His first half mismanagement tonight with 3 timeouts
  • Final drive tonight - lack of intensity with 0 timeouts and losing
  • Can't beat the Saints
  • Barely beats the Falcons
  • Defense shows up, offense is flat
  • Offense shows up, defense gets burned

Sorry Ron....it's been a fun crazy ride. Nothing personal, but this team.... Cam .... these fans - deserves better.

Still have 2 games left.  Who would run the defense and no not a player.

Well could Luke being player coach actually be any worse...? But seriously what's wrong with Washington as DC Again? We are at this point tanking.

Amazing how all the Rivera nut huggers have faded into the night these days. First 7 weeks of  the season there were several threads a week defending his stupid ass.

Well first 7 weeks of the season we were winning games and there wasn't much reason to be ripping Rivera. What has happened since is completely inexcusable and deserving of a house cleaning.

What difference does it make?  Winning now just screws our draft position, so let the next in line assistants coach out the string.  It's time for change.

    • Apparently the extension he signed before the season was also a little weird, as it had a very low signing bonus. So the Jets have a very small dead cap hit despite trading a big contract that was signed just 2 months ago. I guess it was only a $13 million signing bonus, and trading him mid-season means it's something around only a $10 million dead cap hit left to take. This is a huge win for the Jets for a player I've long felt was overrated because of a great nickname and an amazing rookie season that he's then failed to fully live up to since them.  Combine that with everyone knowing the Colts seem more mirage then legit long term contender, that 2027 1st in particular could end up being a really good asset for the Jets.
    • Steichen has the offense operating at a super high efficiency with JT/Pittman/Warren/Downs.  The OL is strong. The D - the front 7 has been sneaky good.  They don't instill much fear but do enough.  Buckner is stil playing at a high level.  It's a good system on both sides of the ball.  Blue chip players now at every position group.   Overall, the NFL is wide open right now. Seahawks, Colts, Patriots, Rams, & Bills are at the top of the mid-season hill - which is just wild Lions, Bucs, Broncos, Chargers* are in contention/okay spots (LAC is losing guys left and right though) Chiefs, Philly still linger, you can never discount. Steelers, 49ers are around as always.
