t96, I'm riding C-Mac to a championship (& Luke, Moore & Samuel, & maybe Reid)

Thomas, remember when we were talking about riding C-Mac to a championship in our fantasy football leagues, well that's what I'm doing. One more game to go.

The thing is, I traded Rivers, A-Rob, Nick Chubb, and Chris Godwin for A.J. Green, thinking he would come back. Just as soon as I did it, Cooper Kupp got injured, and then a week or two later Green was done. My receiving group was always shaky, but the only thing I could do was rely on Moore (whom I had traded Vance McDonald and the Muscle Hamster for earlier in the season), and Samuel whom I drafted. So, basically, I have been riding C-Mac, Gordon, and Mahomes for most of the season. Moreover, as you can see, I got Kuechly (who was the first IDP off the board), whom I drafted with a top 10 pick, and picked up Reid also. Someone dropped Watt early before he started going off, and I had sense enough to get Deion Jones a few weeks before he returned.

Now, my receivers have been kinda sketchy all season, and the TE position was brutal this season, so my defense has pulled up some slack as of late. But, C-Mac is a BOSS. I quickly scooped him up with the third pick in the second, and I KNEW he was going to give me first round production.

I hope Moore and Samuel do me right on Sunday. They've been really shaky the last couple of weeks. Here's to Heinike having a monster game!Screenshot_20181220-103524.thumb.png.5f4c78ac0392c56594417ee1bed35715.png

And for those wondering, this league began more than a decade ago when I was still attached to the Steelers and the Panthers, of course, so that's where my team name came from.

I’m in a similar boat...

McC has carried my ass all the way though I do have some other good players. TE and 2nd WR very weak since OJ Howard and Emmanuel Sanders went down. Have Thomas and Moore on the bench but couldn’t bring myself to play them this week with Heinicke as such an unknown. If Julio is out I may be forced to play Moore and possibly be screwed...

This is my family league we’ve been doing for over 10 years now and I’ve never won. Came in 2nd in year 2 but been bad since then. I usually draft Panthers players unreasonably high to make sure I get them and don’t draft division rivals, but this year I focused a little more on winning...

My team could have been even better but I wasted early picks on useless Bears players Howard and Robinson.

I do like my matchups this week. I think Mahomes will struggle and JuJu is way less than 10%. Hoping Cook’s breakout recently will be a bit of a fluke. Elliott will get his I’m sure but I expect McC to outdo him against the Falcons with no Cam.

its a 14 team money dynasty league with my friends and family. before you poo on my team, i dont have 12 leagues barely full with owners where one of my 12 teams end up doing well.

this is one of 3 serious money leagues im in. with so many owners and with rosters at 29, it can become slim pickings. and thats the fun of it. not every team stacked full of beasts cause the league only has 10 owners.

    • I think Indiana will win it all but Miami should give them a much better fight than Oregon did.
    • When I tell people I was at that game, they usually say oh that’s so cool you had the experience. I call it soul crushing. Why? The weeks and months leading up to it were great, the team was fun to watch every week…some weeks the offense was unstoppable and carried the team (saints and giants road games), other times the defense carried the load (jaguars, tampa). Lots of back and forth games against good teams (Seattle and Indy). Good young players on the team, but the veteran leadership was incredible…from Cam, Olsen, Kalil and J Stew to Luke, TD, Norman, Tillman, Jared Allen, CJ. Role players like Fozzy Whitaker, Cotchery (he caught that MFer), Philly brown, Kyle love, AJ Klein, and so on.  The Friday before the nfc championship my wife and I after a few drinks said let’s see what prices look like for flights/accommodations and we got to talking about how much prices would increase if we waited until we found out if we would be in the big game. We said screw it, we are only out $200 if we have to cancel.  Of course we come out and just pulverized the cardinals in front of the most raucous crowd by far we’ve ever had. We had no idea what we would do for game tickets and then found out a neighbor who worked for the team could get us 2 for face value (each employee got two of their own for free, something cool that JR did).  But then the NFL mafia decided that the storyline of manning going out on top like Elway would give them more goodwill than a non traditional QB who didn’t connect with their target demo and the rest is history. I never have and never will watch that game again. I am just hoping I can see them win one in the 2nd half of my life.
