Sigh...

Go back and read some of my posts in this thread if you want to know. I'm not rehashing it again.

I've read your stuff.. Don't need to go back..

He's only guaranteed 10 mil over the life of the contract.. If he his roster bonuses and incentives every year he can make 24 mil.. If he doesn't the lowest he can make is 10 mil..

It's not that hard ppl..

Plain and simple if Reid breaks his leg and is done for his career.. Is he getting 22 mil??

Nooooooo! Right..??

Your flaw is that you're acting as if salary figures are irrelevant (hence how you came up with your concept of us only paying him $5M per season if we cut him after two years. Salary figures are less vital than guaranteed figures, but they still matter.

So he will be the only player in the NFL without a base salary. I guess if you make your own rules, it’s not that hard.

Again, you're ignoring salary figures. The only way he only makes $10M is of we cut him now and then an accelerated $10M cap hit this season. That's not going to happen. He's going to make more than $10M.

You jumped to an incorrect conclusion early on (something everyone is guilty from time to time) and instead of just owning up to it and moving on you've tried to twist and squirm and act like you were right all along. Stop.

Really??

You said he was a bust.. I don't remember to many bust making it to the pro bowl.. Sorry..

Reality check....

You're making excuses for being wrong.. Dude made a pro bowl while being a panther.. let it go...

I didn't say he was a bust, that was LG. You also said all-pro, not pro bowl.  I didn't believe he was a success looking back. Making the pro bowl just doesn't hold value to me. Many times its a popularity contest and or lazy pick cause the player made it last few years or a replacement. Do you think KK short was a pro bowler? Love outplayed KK the whole year, but KK was given it cause he got it last year and has a huge contract to match. He also got cut before the contract ended, for injuries/missed games and poor play.

No I'm just letting ppl know his base salary isn't 7.5 mil a year.. Which is the number ppl keep throwing out all over this thread..

No one has per year figures on this contract yet. Since we know there's $10M guaranteed and a total of $22M over three years, we do know for a fact that his base salary cannot be $7.5M per year.

I think what you mean is "cap hit".

Will this be over when you admit that you were wrong that Reid would make an average of $5M per season if released after two years?

Don't know if wahle was a success. If I member right he had injuries and missed games. Cut after two years, during which was either the top or second paid OG.

Wow you really edit your post..

It's still wrong..

He played 3 years only missed 3 games and was a pro bowler his 1st year..

= good signing..

PS ..

You notice how LG isn't talking about Wahles anymore?? You should do the same..

Show me where anyone claimed his base salary for 2019 was 7.5M? Cause I can show you babbling about just paying 10M “total” with nothing else. You stepped on your dick, called people out, and don’t have a clue what you’re talking about. So don’t throw hypothetical ultimatums to cover up pages of idiocy.

And no I didn't mean cap hit.. Because we don't know that either.. The only time I mention cap hit .. Is when I was talking about what fans should be more interested in..

I'm moving on... keep spewing your dumb poo I don't care..

All you've shown is that you're pissed off about 10 mil guaranteed .. If you think that's over paying I don't give fug...

My point has already been proven

The only thing you've done for two pages is engage in mental gymnastics to try to distract from and cover for you "two years, $5M per" incorrect statement.

I'm still not convinced you have much of a clue about how contracts and the salary cap works.

    • Yeah and I am doubtful he can offer that consistently. I don’t have many years left at my age and in my view we have wasted two and this whole exercise with him was always a three year minimum.  I am out on that with a guy I don’t believe in, and never believed in, it has sucked. To me it is a costly detour off the right track. Years.    But I am not so rigid that I can’t see excellence. He needs to display it though, consistently before I change my outlook.
    • No, when I said rage, I meant rage, which only applies to certain fans on this board. Your timeline of trying to assess whether he is the future or not is really tied to the discussions surrounding his second contract. If this team is going to commit to some monster contract while he has shown nothing but glimpses of brilliance would be deservedly worrisome, so the clock is genuinely ticking for him to settle into something resembling his final form. Perhaps a best case scenario is that he plays well, the team succeeds, but he does so with a more limited role that makes the rest of the league view him as a game manager, and his second contract value reflects that. Then he continues to improve and becomes a bargain comparatively while not handicapping the team around him, and we enter an era of consistent championship competitiveness that the fanbase has craved for decades and has never really experienced before. But that requires many, many things to go right and for Bryce himself to facilitate that if he ends up being the quarterback of the future.
    • Exactly. And the flame throwers as well, get location benefits from not going all out. But they have it in reserve.  Not sure how much Greg had but he was an artist.  There was a YouTube I came across last year or maybe even 2023 and I don’t how to even find now but it had two NFL QBs I want say one was Carr from the Raiders but I don’t really remember  The point of it is they stood side by side throwing identical distances to identical targets. Radar gun was used.  They threw the normal effort (not all out) and it was measured etc. Then they were asked to throw their ‘fastball’. They were missing and most often they were missing high. It demonstrated the same principle.    edit: and applying that to arm strength, give me the guy that doesn’t need max effort to have good velocity. The margins are so narrow with less velocity in tne NFL the defenders can Close on it and this is a league where they value down to the 100th of a second level. It is that tight
