draftek, difficult.

After many drafts, You must invest OT & DE in the first two picks. Afterwards the talent falls off a mountain, while RB, C, Saftey, WR, OG remain strong.

Horrific

Took a few tries to get to this, I mean its heavy in the line department. I totally disagree with horrific given 4 starters and 3 top backups. Gary is all over the place form #2-40s. Dillard can be an LT for the next 10 years, best feet for an OLman. Jenkins is a great C prospect, very high IQ. Jackson could easily start on the current DL. Sanders is a great complement to CMC, perfect #2. ARW is a great Funchess replacement.  At the beginning of the year, Finley was the #1 QB and top ten on everyone's draft board.

I would prefer not to draft a one gap run stuffer in the 1st round. I would also prefer not to draft Austin Bryant. I think he's completely floated by the other DL talent around him.

I believe the guy drafting for the Panthers at drafttek is a huge self-proclaimed tiger fan. LG if you take a hard look at DT, it can get very scary. Veron is a bust(ready to call it now), love(played the best of the bunch) is UFA in a players market, Poe is either getting cut this year or next..... and if KK continues his downward trend, he could be cut next year too.  I'm all for 2x LT and 2x DE,  but I could easily add a DT to the mix. Wish they still had Norton as insurance.

Exactly. They picked the wrong Clemson DT. Wilkins can play anywhere on the line, in either defense. Wilkins and Kk at DT on 3rd downs will get as much pressure as any Edge.

Yeah I usually look at this site because they add quite of bit of information. But I don't like this one either.

I used to cover the Panthers on that site.  They make you change your pick every couple weeks or so.   I quit because it got too stupid.

100% agreed on DT being a significant need, just not a big fan of taking a pure run stuffer at #16.

Absolutely. I'd have no issues what so ever with Willing at #16. Especially after he looked strong against Bama without Lawrence out there. All of that is true about Ferrell too.

I don't like picking people but positions: I Think D-line usually takes a year to really contribute unless you're a top 5 pick.

1st - OT or DE (if one of the top 3 falls I can see it)

2nd - C, TE or FS - I don't see DE as I believe 10-12 will be off the board by this time.

3rd - DT, DE, C, LB,

3rd (I think we'll get a comp pick) - what ever wasn't pick already from that bunch.

4th or 5th - RB, LB, CB & another D-line

I think we sign a A level FA pass rusher as our big signing. Experience to contribute right a way.

Our top 5 needs right now: OC, OT, FS, DE, RB2

We can safely assume we're going to cross off at least 1 of these needs during free agency.

I like the idea of getting FA DE Clark (worth 14mil). With the draft being so rich with talent, teams might not want to invest in him so I don't his deal would be outrageous. Then you can draft OT (1st rd), C, TE, FS, LB, RB & DT and fill out the roaster nice. I'm for eating Kalil's contract this year and keep him as the back up. I like WR Smith but 5 mil is needed. A long term deal with Shaq lowers his number.
