If anybody is blaming Mrazek or saying he's not really fuging good, you objectively do not understand the game of hockey or this team.

Oh golly I guess I must not know anything then. Thanks for letting me know all knowledgeable one.

Pesce was literally holding on to the goal post, he was damn near in the net. With a clear sight line Mrazek makes that save.

Mrazek could have taken the low man but Orpik had a free shot at the goal because the Caps had all day to find where the player was on our team who didn’t have a stick.

It was just shitty defense.

I'll be waiting on your analysis of how much better we looked in the beginning of this game than the last after allowing 2 goals in the 1st again

Not so much the very beginning of this game as much as after those first two. We started playing much tighter and looked as good as we have all series thus far.

Idk, judging from the games we've played against them so far this season, it kind of feels like us playing against the Saints the last two years.

It’s similar but worse.

We are the youngest team in the playoffs and honestly when you look at our roster we still have a good amount of holes. A lot of guys are playing higher up than they should be (i.e. Martinook and Wallmark).

Washington has a legitimate shot at repeating. If Tampa doesn’t get their head out of their ass then Washington might coast to the SCF.

Don’t count out the Islanders.

Re-evaluating after not explaining everything and only focusing on expressing one thing on the last goal because I was super pissed TF off even though I know what happened. Pesce was a dumbass and it's not the first time he's looked like one this series. I don't know wtf he was thinking and should be sent down to the Checkers for that pee wee level type of play he displayed there. Not only standing in front of the goalie but momentarily going across Mrazek's face. The part that I got pissed off about was Mrazek had a glance at the shooter and only a small percentage of goalies can stop a one-timer after just a quick glance. I was just pissed we didn't have an elite moment happen there and went with it.

In the moment I was also pissed we've allowed 7 goals with goalie in net in 2 games. In the past, Ward would be mostly responsible with everyone defending him which was frustrating as hell. This time it's different. Mrazek's at fault for probably 2 of those. I'm  still suffering from frustration of our past players, coaching, and front office.

    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
