... at number 14, which is pretty damn good considering he's only going into his age 30 season and could easily play 6-8 more. Keep in mind this list has 51 overall number 1 picks.  Can't really argue too much with the players ranked ahead of him besides Stafford, who's much less accomplished than Cam but his passing numbers are great.

Its a pretty cool article. Although its bizarre they only seem to focus on the past couple of seasons in his little synopsis and not mentioning him having a crazy rookie season, the 2015 MVP/SB run, or the fact that hes got more rushing TDs than any QB in NFL history.

And friendly reminder of these QBs who won their first SB later in life

  • Payton Manning : Age 30 (and went to 4 SBs in his 30s)
  • Jim Plunkett : Age 33 (won another at age 36)
  • John Elway : Age 37 (another at 38)

Everything is a bit up in the air with his recent shoulder injuries, but here's to hoping for a revitalization and winning the first SB for the Panthers.

Don’t they come out with this list every year/ every few? Stanford is always ahead of cam. No one seems to know why

Like I say, probably because his passing numbers are really good for an age 30/31 QB. He's also had a few pretty good seasons, but those are drowned out by several bad or mediocre ones .

Most notably he's not done anything in the playoffs, which should bump Cam up to 13 and him down to 14.

Cam should def be in the top 10 after all is said in done if his shoulder is okay. But he wont get in the top 5 unless he wins at least 1 SB. I don't really think he'd need to win multiple ones to compete with the other QBs that have multiple, since he's such a unique talent.

Right so, again, I have no idea why MS is above camvp

Well,... in Stafford’s defense,.. he plays with the worst professional sports organization ever,.. like worst team ever,...

if he had been drafted by like the Steelers for example and won 2-3 Superbowls— he would have no question marks.

same for Cam for example.

He's had some pretty top-shelf receiving talent though.

    • I dont think people realize how hard it is to find a consistent starting QB in the NFL. Byrce will not heart us to a SB but I do think he can manage to get us one or close..go all in on defense and change the Offensive passing game and play calls. I really think our biggest problem is our HC.  Take New Orleans QB for example, switch him and Bryce and I promise you it'll look similar or worse. New Orleans OC is levels ahead of Canales. And as far as the draft goes, in this division with as much rb talent as we face ..the answer...this guy:    Pick up a couple edge rushers in FA along with a corner and plug this guy in Rozeboom's spot. Defense solved. But only if we get a top tier rusher on that dline....jus saying
    • I think I'm going to the game in Los Angeles vs Paraguay, and the England / Croatia game here in Dallas since my mom is British.  For decent seats anywhere in the building(s) it looks like it will be upwards of $7k for the two games.  Insane. Just for perspective, you could buy field level EPL tickets for any one of the top sides in the league, and it would be 10% of the price you'll pay for crappy seats at the World Cup.
    • Meh… I knew this thread would turn into a Bryce/Tua comparison, when they couldn’t be further apart situations.   Dolphins catered there whole offense toward Tua, they brought in a coach that would run a Tua friendly offense, the went in got the best most explosive WR in the NFL and paired him the fastest WR in that years draft. Panthers have done the opposite, they went and got a Pete Carroll disciple who likes to run the ball under center, they drafted big slow WR who got little separation in college. Literally the polar opposite of Bryce’s scouting report coming out of Alabama.   Tua was a decent QB 2 years ago, but the concussions, lack of movement have caught up to him. He never had a great arm to begin with but now since he doesn’t want to get hit he’s taking the whole offense down with him.
