If McCoy does NOT sign....

Recommended Posts

Bradbury and Shaq hasn’t made it a hard choice yet, dude was a first rd pick... you gotta show more ... but if we don’t sign McCoy or if we do then please sign a darian Stewart or some safety in that vein. It’s fine if they like gaulden, dudes on a rookie contract that doesn’t cost hardly anything capwise so don’t  pull a gettlleman and bet the whole season on young unproven guys to start in the secondary

For the most part I like what Hurndog has done but ignoring FS is troubling to me personally.

Right...like it’s fine if y’all like gaulden or cole Luke then fine but they both cost peanuts so they can afford to bring in a vet and let the best man win. If my job was on the line then no way I’d solely bet on one of those being good enough this year.

What vet can be brought in that you would feel would realistically beat out what we have?  I just don't see anyone available.

Darian Stewart from Denver would be my first choice...dude’s 30 years old  has only missed 3 games in 5 years...he’s a pro bowler, can play both safety positions...I don’t see how he wouldn’t beat out gaulden but even if for some reason he didn’t you’d have great depth behind him and Eric Reid.

The Darian Stewart that was so bad the Broncos released him?  PFF gave him a 59.6 last year, #77 Safety.  Maybe 5 years ago he could play free safety at a respectable level.  But he's been so bad lately I'd rather roll the dice with what we have.

The year before he was slightly better.  PFF 62.6, #54 Safety.
