Where are the turn overs?

No...I aint talkin about apple or cherry...or the flyin biscuits that Joke has been throwin.

I am talking about the D! This may be discussed elsewhere but for the past few weeks I have been fairly happy with the D lately...except WHERE are all the turnovers?

I keep hearing that we have the "top passing D in the league" but why don't we seem to get the INTs that other teams are getting. Aside from Beason and Pep we haven't seen the FFs and INTs of years past.

Carolina doesn't have the top pass D or is it even close to being it. Stats lie sometimes. It is simply a product of opponents starting drives on our 1 yard line, on our 7 yard line, on the 15, pick 6 here, and fumble return there.....

The front 7 is doing a good job and the turnovers will eventually start coming as for those guys.

Havw had any other interceptions other than Thomas Davis'?

Beason and Marshall. Beason picked off someone in Philly i think. Marshall picked off Matt Ryan.

Our corners always sit back in their zone and then go for the tackle even when there's safety help. Zone is all about responsiveness and playing to the QB's eyes. Our corners should get going later in the year once they get used to playing in the zone and hopefully the INTs start coming in. The FFs are there but we're just not recovering many of them.

that's true, we have had a ridiculous number of FF that we haven't recovered.

Buffalo was three and out for most of the game, except when they were picking off Jake and setting up short scores. Not many turnovers are going to happen in a situation like that.

We did get some turnovers against Tampa, well at least one anyway. I can't remember if we got more.

We made Josh Johnson fumble like 5 times.. i don't think we recovered ANY of them. We only recovered the aborted handoff to Ward... Which we didn't cause.

    • The last 8 weeks, Nix had 2,022 yards, 21 TDs, 6 INTs on 70% completions While Bryce's last 8 games he had 1,709 yards, 12 TDs (albeit adding 5 more rushing), 3 INTs on 61% completions. I'm not going to pretend I watched those Broncos games to know exactly how Nix actually looked, but in retrospect, his statistics were better.  Hell, in just his final 8 games, Nix has only 5 less TD passes than Bryce has in his 30 game (28 starts) career. And you said he had better WRs than Bryce did, but I'm not even sure that's even true either. Sutton and Thielen might be completely different types of WRs, but I'd say they are pretty equal on effectiveness if not even a slight edge to Thielen (63.6 YPG for Sutton to 61.5 for Thielen).  Then XL and Coker vs Marvin Mims and Devaughn Vale, again, at worst a push, if not lean in our favor there too. Why is it so hard for some Panthers fans to just objectively look at our team/Bryce and be honest with themselves. ? He was significantly improved the final two months of the season from his first season and a half.  But he was still a below average QB during that time, even if he had a few good throws and clutch moments.
    • The Canes physically dominated 2 of the top 16 teams in the league this calendar month. If you truly believe Florida is just that much more physical than us, then what does that say about the rest of the league? Why didn't they go 82-0 this year, if they are orders of magnitude better than every other team?
