Canes trade Saarela and De Haan to Blackhawks for Forsberg and Forsling

I thought Saarela would be ready to contribute in Raleigh very soon, and De Haan had proven his worth this past season.  Forsberg is useless, but Forsling has some promise it seems.  At first glance, we lost this one.

With all the rumors swirling around I hope this is just for De Haan's salary dump.  He won't be able to play until December and you know there's going to be rust.  Forsling has upside and is youngish.  Also, Ned is more than likely headed to a permanent role with the big club so we needed someone to replace his role with the Checkers.  Overall, it looks like a necessary loss.  Hopefully, with us being a little ways away from the salary floor, it'll lead to some larger signings.  I mean, we still have to pay Aho.
