Dallas probably

I think Celtics really could be it if they put the full court press and open cap to throw at him

Dude was a hero at UCONN and they have a ton of alums and fan base in the Boston area (campus to downtown Boston is just as far as Charlotte to Greensboro)

Kemba doesn't wanna live in Boston, fuggin' Kyrie thought it was too white.

Kemba lived 1.5 hours outside of Boston for 4 years and loved it.  And has a ton of people who he was a hero to them during those 4 years living there.

The ammount of $$ he's making, he'll only be living there during the season if he wants.  The whole "doesnt want to live there" thing is always over blown.  Half of the athletes live outside of their teams location except during the season anyways

Ha, I didn't even think about Kemba going to Uconn.

Also Rick Bonnell was on WFNZ today.  Started off by saying he had some good sources within the league that texted him last night.  Telling him to "start preparing ourselves for a life after Kemba Hornets."  Sounding like the momentum for him to return is deflating

And also we Just about traded Kemba last year to the Cavs (for that 1st).  But we wouldnt budge unless they took Batum and thats where the trade fell through.  Said the Cavs were willing to take on Marvin but we wouldn't make the trade unless now they took Batum

We couldve fugging started a rebuild last year. And taken one of our contracts.  But we wouldn't Budge Just Because they wouldn't take Batum.  Now we're about to lose Kemba for nothing and still have All of those contracts

Report came out saying only way he stays is for the full supermax deal fully guaranteed for all 5 years. So I'm expecting him to sign with Boston now. Just another reason why MJ needs to go as owner or at least stop trying to make all the decisions and over ride everyone else. Let the people you hired do the job you hired them for.

This.

That pretty much seals it if true.  The only way we can give him that is if we go into the luxury tax.  And MJ has already has stated he will Not pay the luxery tax.

Its embarrassing.  This team couldve gotten something for him (a lottery pick) And gotten rid of a bigger contract (was reported today that Cavs wouldve taken Marvin off our hands for Kemba).  But we didnt accept.  Now we lose him for nothing.  Still handcuffed to those contracts.  With probably the worst roster in the league without him.  With the younger guys still a Long ways to go being groomed, including this years 1st rounder who theyve said will spend time in the G-league.

This team is a dumpster fire right now

Everybody wanting to hold onto Kemba for the last 2 years like idiots because they thought we could magically compete are about to be in for Bobcat level terrible. While Kemba plays for a potential contender and the Hornets throw up all over themselves for a couple more seasons. So that's fun.

Get ready to pray for James Wisemen/Cole Anthony and then kids who barely have their drivers license. Maybe people will finally see this roster for what it has been for two decades now...garbage with one Top 20 player at best. Until we draft an MVP level guy, we're a feeder team. There's one path for a team like Charlotte to compete...get assets, get lucky, and then you have a shot.

    • Like many of the old heads, I’ve been here for a long time.  I got a lot of respect for everyone on this board for your dedication to this team.  We’ve all been through it during the tougher years. At this point in life, I’m not one to judge anyone’s level of dedication, or their reasons why anymore.  Time, and a lot of bad football, will do that.  For me, it’s simple.  We share a common bond.  For that, I love and appreciate all of you crazy SOB’s. For me, last season was at a minimum, entertaining.  BY lead a young team to multiple come from behind 4th qtr wins.  That showed me heart, and that he has the clutch gene.  That’s the wildcard intangible.  For me, that was fun to watch even  if it was mindbogglingly frustrating at times.  Over the past two seasons, we have progressively built a better team around him.  On paper, the defense should be better this season.  That’ll help.  Let’s see what he can do as the other guys continue to develop too.  Besides, his contract is cheap for a few more years, and we just made some smart cap decisions during the draft. Let’s see how it shakes out.
    • Hiring Shula & his Cam save us playbook.
    • I would very much liked to have seen Jake Delhomme's career if Tommy Jone no hurt Jake.  I just know that roster and the leadership were destined to hit paydirt but Jake was never the same after the elbow injury, and unfortunately he was the sole reason they didn't make it back to the big one.  I think that 08 team was the best in the league, and Jake masked his inability well all season til the Arizona game put it all on display.  I'll go back to the season prior even and say the 07 team was primed to be a competitor.  Jake was off to a fantastic start that year (for a Panthers QB).  They may have been a championship caliber club for a few seasons after 08 too.
