Moore Lovers

I love this guy.. whenever he says anything negative about Moore, it can go DOUBLE for Jake. You keep shootin' yourself in the foot, Catdaddy.

19 interceptions in 10 games > 18 interceptions in 7 games

4 fumbles in 10 games > 4 in 7 games

The one regular season game he played his best in was basically a preseason game, and he should have had more than that one pick(Tampa). I hope they put him in and he does what Jake did in 2003, but I doubt it. These games he played in, he looks very familiar, like Jake. Good at times, real bad at times. Just keep watching highlights! Look at some of those Qb ratings on Moore in all the games he's played period. He looks real bad against rookies and backups in preseason. Everyone is going by these two wins. Those two wins, Ryan Leaf could have won

Beason said Jake is our best option to win. He plays against them in practice. That tells me these other two Qb's are doing exactly what they should be doing, backing up a better player.

Beason is singing the company tune right now.

Question for you. How could Moore come in and do worse than Delhomme?

We're losing with Delhomme, he's the rock-bottom worst rated QB in the league and has made a team that was 14-2 last year into a running joke. So, what exactly would we lose if Moore were to be brought in?

Honestly, who the fug cares at this point? Jake's still the starter until Fox is fired or he retires, and Moore will be gone to FA where he actually has a chance to start in this league.

Why keep bashing the guy? To be fair, why keep espousing him either? Just drop it already.

Haha, I like how you cite how "terrible" Moore did in 19 games, yet in 19 games he has fewer turnovers than our starter has in six.

The only games that really count for stats for Moore (note: Practice & preseason counts when evaluating a QB, but not if you are talking about *stats!*) were in December of 2007 and that was the month he was rookie of the month. The game against the Cowboys may have had a different outcome had the pass interference been called at midfield, too, but it wasn't. So you can't pick on the fact we got an INT. The fact is, Moore played well in all three of his starts, and did what he was asked to in each of them.

Jake does not have three consecutive starts this year with better stats than Moore had with his. Does this mean Moore is better than Jake? This year, almost definitely; overall? I don't know.

I would like to see Jake exorcise his demons against Arizona - but if he doesn't, Fox will put in Moore and I suspect the team will rally around him. Yes, the players will say for now that Jake gives them the best chance to win. They will also say Moore does once Moore has some wins under his belt for them, as well. This is just how it goes; they are showing loyalty to who the coach names. Despite what people say here, the coach has not yet lost his players in Carolina.

Matt Moore will be our starting qb next year.bank on it.

i hope not. i hope we get a top gun with our high 2nd round pick and start him like so many of the young QB's are.

i hope fox isn't here to handle it though because he'll pull the rookie and go with jake again. jake and fox need to be gone if any other QB is going to have a legitimate chance at developing at QB for this team.

If thats the case the team has a great chance of going 0-16 with the worst statistical year ever for a starting QB.

and Moore will be gone to FA where he actually has a chance to start in this league.

I guarantee you when Moore leaves Carolina, he will draw zero interest from the rest of the league and his NFL career will likely be over. Once the Panthers drop him, he might end up as a 3rd stringer in the CFL, UFL, or an Arena League though.

It will be Brett Basanez v2, who had similar gushing over him from Panthers fans and realized when he made a stink about leaving Carolina for better opportunities no other teams cared or wanted him. He is only on the Bears practice squad now because he is a hometown kid and they are doing him a solid.

Moore should have came in and shined this season. He had no pressure, the game was out of reach, they pulled some of their regulars who had injuries, and he didn't do jack!

hahahahahaahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahaahahahahaha

"no pressure" You know Philly injured our OTHER QB who is now in IR because the o-line couldn't block right? Jake was forgiven for that game (philly). He's had his chance. But it's no longer the o-line's fault. He's played terrible for several straight weeks. There's no more excuses for him. You really don't know what goes on when a backup comes into a game due to poor play of the starter do you? You come in, you make throws, you throw down the field, you try to score. You try to score AGGRESIVELY. You're the backup, you're trying to take your shot. Would he have done better if he wasn't brought in to just throw passes? Obviously.

The difference is, Delhomme has had a running game to complement him this year and he's performed poorly WITH IT. As opposed to Matt Moore who came in as the THIRD relief with barely(if any) running plays called while he was in there. Our offense isn't built to pass constantly.

ha matt moore real stats are 3td 2int,2-1 maybe 3-0 if the cowboys refs weren't payed off.

yet you sit here and tell me teams he played were horrible......ok what if that same thing goes for jake everyone knows smith has been saving his ass for the longest.....defenses in this new era key in on that poo.....please don't expect smith to out jump three 6'2 dbs for the catch.

don't compare some of matts ints in garbage time to some of jakes first drive ints.

for you to knock moore just because some logical load of crap is beyond me.

everyone else is right give the kid a chance to either compete or go else where for a job.
