Now. someone realized how his initial statements came across.

Why do you think the worst of him? To me he’s just like Cam, he sacrificed his body behind a poo line for years, couldn’t stay healthy, his ankle is not healing so he’s like fuvk it.

if Cam came out tomorrow and said I’m retiring I’d be shocked but I would totally understand.

I'm fine we took Cam, but Luck would've been healthier here than in Indy. They never protected him and ruined him.

Also, Luck is a smart guy so he's actually concerned with the important things.... like quality of life when you get older. Every one of you here knows what CTE does to people and has seen the images of aging football players barely able to walk at 50. The human body isn't meant to withstand literally brutalizing yourself for money.

This is just the harsh reality of the NFL. You can be a huge human being and still fall apart physically. Some of yall talking about toughness are just fans who glamorize a game of man fetch like it's actually important in life when really it isn't.

It's the timing of it. His heart didn't get out of it two weeks ago, that's what the fans are pissed about. Ebron/Funchess are in contract years hell maybe even TY, then vets like Houston who sign for a chance to contend. He gotta do what's best for him but it's tough this close to the season.

Unless luck had a serious injury set back a few weeks ago, him being viewed in a negative light from a fan base that's always went to bat for his shortcomings is pretty justified.

Read my post you quoted. For all we know he was going to be missing significant time if not the season due to this vague ankle/"bone" injury. Can't say he's quitting on his team for the season if he was basically looking at missing the season due to injury anyway.

He made 100 million and had a poo ton of injuries. Despite 50 iq 300 pound posters in this thread saying otherwise, they would have done the same thing. this just shows how important the offensive line is in football and why you dont spend years with dogshit linemen, you replace them ASAP.

This. The Colts literally only started investing in their Oline last year lol

Say what? Look at the OTs we've fielded during Cam's career. Cam has taken by far more hits than any other QB during his time in the league. We've played the guy through injuries to his throwing shoulder when we were completely out of contention. We have done an absolutely pathetic job of physically taking care of Cam.

A lot of curious empathy here. If he'd just said his body isn't responding, it would be viewed differently. I know I would. I don't wanna hear sh*t about your heart and mind not being into it 2 weeks before the start of the season. Had QB1 said his heart and mind weren't into it at this point in the season, the huddle and WFNZ would be forced to cancel fan participation for weeks.

What a meathead response to a man retiring due to injury lol

Luck's injuries were worse, Cam runs more, Colts didn't draft an oline before the 7th round til like two years ago. But this is beside the point and pedantry, anyway

Let’s be real here. Cam is not gonna age well with the abuse he has taken for years in the NFL. It is ultimately his choice and nobody should say poo about anybody choosing to retire or when to do it. They owe us nothing. This is a game. Some of y’all need a fuging reality check.

I was specifically addressing your assertion that Luck would've been better off injury wise in Carolina. I seriously doubt it.

Luck and Cams respective style of play also is a factor. How many of the hits cam takes are on designed runs and how many of Luck's injuries are due to him getting killed in the pocket bc they didn't protect him? Of course Cams lines have been bad and yeah he's gotten poor protection too, but the situations really aren't identical.

The proof is in the pudding. He'd have gotten more protection here, even if it was below average (which i agree Cam has had)

Regardless, this isn't really relevant to the chud responses to this human being making his own decisions

    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
    • Nah we just talking about giving a platform and normalizing predators (who both beat women) opinions and celebrating it if it fits your narrative.  If that's fun I'm fine being a miserable fug by not supporting P.O.S like that. N b4 you call me a libtard or some other dumb ish know I'm an Anarchist/Libertarian and believe both these dudes should get a complete ass whooping (at min) or something worse for what they have done to women in this world.
