Supposedly would only cost like a 2nd but no way we could afford his tag number anyway. We would have to clear over $10M in cap room to do so.

Also wtf are the Dolphins doing? They are supposedly trying to tank and offload a bunch of players but also acquire Clowney who they can’t even sign to a long term deal.

One Panther related - though off the field - note: The latest commercial for Felix Sabates' Mercedes dealership has Ron Rivera coaching Christian McCaffrey to sell cars.

As far as the performances, I'd make the general comment that acting lessons can sometimes be a sound investment for someone who's looking at on screen opportunities in their future.

(there's probably a link to the commercial somewhere online but I can't find it)

Clowney is said to prefer the Seahawks or the Eagles as his destination.

Either of those choices puts him in our conference.

Texans fugging up.

Apparently the Phins said Tunsil isnt on the table.

Texans Desperately need OL.  And pretty much hinted the only reason why Clowney is on the table because of this.

Theyre going to lose a probowl edge rusher for a 3rd round pick and no improvement to the OL

We simply can't afford to trade for Clowney. Too much $$$, too much trade compensation, too much injury history. We drafted Burns in the 1st in part to not have to make a desperation move like that.

I can see going after Trent Williams, but I can’t see giving up anything to pay a player 20M/yr who’s never had 10 sacks in a season.

Word was the Redskins turned down a first round pick from the Patriots. Though there's been some question about that, I don't have any trouble believing that the Redskins may want a first rounder and more for Williams.

The last time we traded a first round pick to the Redskins, it didn't go so well.

Eagles are DEEP at OT.  Including  Dillard who they drafted.  He is ahead of the curb (quite a few including me expected him needing a redshirt year)  but he is looking to be capable to start this year

They have the top RT in football, and a stud vet starting at LT. Currently Texans need a OT (Matt Kalil is currently best OT on their roster)

Eagles can part with a OT and add Clowney to a DL that already includes Fletcher Cox and Derek Barnett

Our 1st is a non-starter. Not with Cam in question. But I would offer Little and a 2nd and see where that gets me. He wants a new contract so even that is a bit much. I don’t believe the Patriots story.

Kinda doubt the Redskins would go for that. if I remember correctly, they had the chance to draft Little in the second round and passed on him.

Being a high pick - reportedly the Panthers choice at 16 if Brian Burns hadn't fallen - is really all he's got going for him. He hasn't looked great in preseason and it only took a few games for him to get hurt.

Unless he comes out and proves people wrong, I just don't think any other team values Greg Little as much as we do right now. Giving up Williams for Little, even with an additional pick thrown in, would probably set the Redskins up as a laughing stock.

It gives them a replacement they can get a good look at this year. Plus a 2nd. It’s basically two 2nds. And we won’t need Little anymore. It would be tough for anyone else to offer a rookie replacement(possibly). It’s Erick Flowers right now.

    • 100%. And these same people will claim you have an agenda. You can't have it every way. We had the lowest rated defense in the league last year. Statistically the worst ever. By PFF grades (for whatever that's worth- but they are readily accepted, used, and conveyed by most "reputable" sources), the defense was the worst ever. Not only that, PFF rated our receiving corp the worst in football last season. The absolute worst... out of 32 teams. Which is why regardless of the lip service Canales and Morgan paid to the current guys, they knew it would be criminal not to give Bryce more help. People fixating on team stats and not taking these things into context are stupid, plain and simple, and I'm for one thankful they're not running this team (or probably anything for that matter bc they obviously can't discern reality. Again, going back to the eyeball test these Narrative Nancies seem to hate so much, did they not see the windows Bryce was putting balls into? Have the generally not watched much NFL? Please, please show me the film where all these NFL QBs are making throws like this to this point Bryce was "below average" down the stretch compared to them. Bryce made more wow throws in that 3 game stretch of the Bucs, Chiefs, and Eagles than every other QB combined in all the years since since Cam got hurt I genuinely am baffled by people that can watch throws like that and act like it's nothing. I guarantee you Steve Spagnola, Todd Bowles, and and Vic Fangio didn't think it was nothing after watching the little guy torch them with players those teams would be embarrassed to trot out at the skill position players. The national media spent all year making excuses for Mahomes not having elite weapons when he had multiple 1st & 2nd round talents at the skill positions along with future HoFers in Kelce and Hopkins. Bryce wasn't throwing for 300 yards every week with David Moore and Adam Theilen in spite of jaw dropping throws and you want to say the guy played below average. For those people, again, we ain't watching the same sport. And the name calling doesn't change that... The vitriol and projection... it's off the effing charts with these people.
    • "Well you see if you remove this terrible game that terrible game this other terrible game and then focus on these games you'll see he's actually one of the better QB's in the league and he's actually as good as Jayden Daniels". My god this place is delusional. I love it.
