Cam - Olsen connection

I think this was the main reason our offense struggled to sustain drives. Only 4 catches for 36 yards on 9 targets.

Cam admitted he was rusty, and his timing with his receivers was off.  I fully expected this unlike so many homers who didn’t think game action was necessary especially after surgery.

I look forward to seeing these two re-establish their rhythm.

This is a BS excuse. Did you watch the cowboys, chiefs, etc? Those teams had just as much practice. Like Cam, they had the past 2 months to prepare for this game.

They didn’t have shoulder surgery to come back from and a change in throwing motion.

We gave up 30 points. We didn't beat ourselves into 30 points. Defense was exposed badly.

I disagree a bit

because of offense ineptitude, they were on the field most of the game and an incredibly warm day. They did better than I thought  and gabe that putrid offense a chance

they could have used Irvin. And Poe continues to be a worthless sack of poo up the middle. Same old same old

Rams had scores that game off drives of 10 yards, 26 yards, 33 yards.

That was 13 points they did very little to get

Olsen has missed a fair share of time the last few seasons. There's no way to know that connection that we have become accustomed to over the years will ever be the same again. But you can't make a determination in week 1.

I think it is fair to say Greg is old and we shouldn’t be looking for the old connection to be the same consistent part of the O now.

Well of course he is not going to be 2015 Greg again. Can't turn back time. I think he could absolutely be consistently useful though in a lesser capacity this season. But Cam has to get on the same page and settle in admittedly.

I haven't heard much of anything about Ian Thomas and his injury, but we need him back out there.
