Predicting Sunday's inactives

Feels like we have one or two hard choices in determining inactives this week.

Obviously Cam, Irvin, Gaulden, and I think Greene too, are ruled out.

Zylstra has been inactive, so he's probably inactive again. That's 5.

But now it gets harder. If KK can't go, he's number 6. But if KK CAN go, do you give Butler (inactive week 1&2) a jersey too? I'd say yes to limit Kks snaps and have insurance in case he comes out.

Grier will be active (duh), and probably Little too (who was out past 2 games).

Where else do you find 1 or 2 more inactives without hurting depth?

Kunaszyk? Miller? Bonnafon?

I hate the roster limitations so much. Hope it changes in next CBA. Bad for player health and development.

They do really need to go ahead and make it 53 active per game, minus injuries of course. I've never understood the reason for the mandated inactives.

Its purpose is to ensure a level playing field.

Say you have everyone active but Team A has five players injured while Team B only has one. Team A now has a perceived advantage because they technically have a deeper roster.

Forcing both teams to sit 8 players is meant to nullify that possibility.

A team might have a lot more injuries than the opposing team. Keeps a fair balance.

KK has been ruled out. At least that’s what it said on Rotoworld.

Be prepared for Butler to ruin at least 30% of our defensive snaps.

Panthers injury report from yesterday has KK as questionable. But I'd imagine it's doubtful he'll play.

I'd love to see 57 man rosters with 50 active on game day. I think even a 4 man increase in roster size and game day actives could allow for better rotation, depth and player development.
