I think Pellissero is primarily looking at it as a down the road thing, but if Kyle Allen were to break out I could see somebody giving Scott a look.

Leapfrogging from position coach to head coach without being a coordinator is rare but it happens. Andy Reid is probably the most famous example.

That was actually my first thought. He has gotten our special teams to really buy into what he's preaching, and he's got passion and fire to succeed.

Don’t understand why Turner would be a legit candidate, it’s not like he has Kyle lighting up defenses. Don’t know what his past history is.

Plus, he’s played defense in the league. A good bit of it. Picked Brady off in the Super Bowl.

Blackburn would have been my first thought.

Perry Fewell probably would have been my second. He's gotten head coaching looks before and he's doing a good job this year.

Yes, this is a great career “mulligan” for Perry Fewell. If his unit can continue to thrive, he will probably get another DC offer at some point. And then, who maybe a HC offer. He’s a damn good coach.

Chase is going to be a HC before long.  Dude has really taken off as a coordinator and our STs, which has been a joke for- seemingly-ever, finally looks like not only a legit unit under him.... but rather one of the best ST units in the league the past two seasons under his tenure.

You know a gifted STs coach is likely going to have his team super disciplined as well.
