The smile is meaningless.

Remember how everyone was convinced Ron was too soft as a coach because of his public persona, then All or Nothing came out and people watched him light some folks up behind closed doors?

It is part of the gig. It doesn't mean he doesn't take his job seriously, It doesn't mean he's smirking at fans cause he knows he'll have a job next year. It just means he's aware cameras are on him almost constantly, and smile projects calm and in control, regardless of what's happening or what he's feeling. 

The smile does nothing to change the way his team got taken apart today at home by a division rival with a bad record.
