Slye's Capture Rate® is a measly 76% at this point.

Gano was at 92.8% for 2017 and 2018 combined. 

To date Slye has kicked 26 FG's and 26 PAT's and missed 7 and 4 respectively.

If he hit his next 26 straight in both FG & PAT categories his Capture Rate® would still be only 88%.

You get what you pay for.

Seems like a good kid, certainly don't wish him any ill will.

Will be interesting to see if they retain him.

Slye is the kicker because Gano is injured. If we had Butker and he was injured they would need a replacement just the same. You can criticize the situation in 2017 but it's not related to Slye.

Gano was better than Butker, and he made a lot of his lunch money beyond 50 (and I hope our next guy can also). Butker has also missed game winning field goals in the playoffs. He's not some picture of perfection.

We need to deal with what is. There are plenty of MUCH better and compelling reasons to get rid of the current management than pulling Butker out the bottom of a box deep in the basement, and commenting to whining about it.
