The main problem is if we win a few more games we are stuck back in the middle of the first round again missing a top ten draft pick .  We will have so many holes to fill next year it will probably be another bust year .  Might as well tank the season and blow up the team . Let the new coaches pick up the team and get the right players for a new system .  We can make a decision on Cam with a new staff in place.  Goodbye Ron and thanks for the missed opportunities .

Whoa, whoa, whoa.  I was with you up to here.

First, with Slye, the bottom line is the guy left 5 points on the field yesterday with missed kicks of 33, 33 and 28 yards.  Seriously, it doesn't get any easier than that.  If your kicker can't make those kicks, he has no business in the league.  It's one thing if he's missing 50+ yard kicks, that's expected.  But when your kicker can't make them under 35 yards it's not your team that's the problem.

Second, it's not fair to criticize Ron one week for not taking chances and the next because he gambled too much - not saying that "you" are, but it's definitely a theme across the Panthers fan base.  Ron's a good coach.  It's very possible that he's simply reached the end of his effectiveness here, but I fully expect if/when we fire him, he'll get another chance elsewhere and do well.  Sometimes the combination of organization and coach just plays itself out, and a change is needed to move forward for both.  I suspect this is where we are with RR.

All due respect I think it’s fair criticism. I thought he was gambling out desperation yesterday not out of a strategic way to win. He could have let Slye kick on one of those 4th downs and then play for a TD to win. If he didn’t trust Slye on 4th down then why let him try to win the game. Not trying to make a bunch of excuses for Slye but if either of those 4th down conversions fail then we’re probably looking at a 10 point loss most likely. It just happened to work out yesterday but yeah I think he gambled too much.

This is the winning-est coach in our franchise history who has taken us to a 15-1 record and a SB.. the season is over.. Fire him at the end of the year - but don't do it mid season like some random Skins or Browns coach.. i don't want to disrespect our guys anymore like we did with D.will, Smitty, Norman, etc..
