The "Steeler Method" is pure speculation that Tepper will simply act like the Rooney's. Why make such a simpleton assumption about him? Considering the Steelers haven't had a coach from the offensive side since 1968, why not assume Tepper won't look at any of the offensive guys?

Prior to Chuck Noll, the Steelers fired plenty of coaches too. Things changed with Noll and the Steelers have operated differently ever since.

If you look back at the last two times the Steelers hired head coaches, no retreads were interviewed or even considered. Again, it's not their way. They did, however, interview two offensive coaches (Russ Grimm and Ken Whisenhunt) before deciding to hire Mike Tomlin.

Throw in that Tepper has been said to actually prefer an offensive coach and there's no reason to think he wouldn't.

You brought up the Steelers Method, not me or anyone else. Not being a dick, just questioning your method. You aren't a king.

You are picking and choosing the things you are making assumptions by. You didn't research, just went by what you thought to be true. it's just incredibly simple minded to suggest Tepper will follow any mold. Nothing about Tepper suggests he would be that simple.

I like the idea of Greg Roman as HC. Everyone talks about the guy's football brilliance and innovativeness. That's what I want in a HC. Rosters are going to change and along with them strengths and weaknesses and as a HC you have to be able to tweak your schemes to maximize those strengths while minimizing the weaknesses.

Tepper was a 5% owner of the Steelers -- and it was a "vanity" stake, he was a big fan since childhood.

Tepper was an "owner" but he had no no more direct involvement in the Steelers decision making for any facet of the organization than Howard Levine or Johnny Harris when The Big Cat was the Panthers owner....

....nil, nada, none.

Mr. David Tepper is not constrained by anything, especially not some sort of fictitious "Steeler method".

I just have this sneaky feeling Rivera is going to keep his job. He will get a pass because of Can and then he will fire all the defensive guys. I will for one be pissed and not trust anything else Tepper has to say.

Ireland and Campbell have worked together with three different teams, including their current one. So yeah I'd say there's a connection.
