"Its not a back breaker" is what I seem to hear around here a lot.  I wonder if these folks actually pay any attention to the cap, if they don't understand that you can roll that money over to the next season, or can only pull a Marty and be able to look at this season alone, in a vacuum?

Ranks right up there with "Marty Hurney's not that bad".

1)

-Marty Hurney makes excellent draft choices, and gives out horrible contracts and can't manage the cap

-Dave Gettleman makes terrible draft choices, and also gives out horrible contracts and can't manage the cap

2)

Marty Hurney should be removed from free agency and contracts immediately to focus on the draft

Dave Gettleman will be fired from the Giants in a few weeks and should never work in the NFL again in any capacity

 

There, the argument has been resolved, we can move on to other topics

The only thing that keeps him coming back to this board is to talk about Marty Hurney. Once Marty's gone, he's probably gone too.

DG very well could be let go in NY, but I think that every move he has made there has been with ownership approval.  They brought him in specifically to rebuild that team.

As to bad contracts, the only one that I remember of DG's that was bad is Kalil's, I think the rest were good, unless I'm misremembering one?
