Sure. But there’s a good middle ground. Hey, look. It’s a busy time for the guy. I get it. He’s trying to hire his own coach without a general manager, while also trying to start up a new soccer team. There’s a lot of stuff going on. So of course he’s going find a camera and talk. That’s his nature, and these are his assets.

He's definitely not camera shy. Granted, the "don't quote me" reporter gatherings are a tad different.

That quote is a pretty good illustration of the point Igo was making.

What he said: "If he's healthy, Cam Newton is an elite player."

What he didn't say: "If he's healthy, Cam Newton will be a Panther next year."
