One whose contract AZ was desperately trying to shed because he’s not good any more.... I consider that trade Hopkins for a 2nd.... Should’ve got 2 firsts.

I know whenever teams do stupid stuff, some fans will say "you are just a fan, these are highly paid professionals that know more about what they are doing than you ever will."  And then something like this happens, where even a 12 year old can see this was a stupid move by the Texans.

They actually got pretty good value for him. Word is he was going to hold out for a new contract and Bill O’Brien wasn’t going to pay what he wanted. I have no idea why the gave him GM powers. Either way no one is giving 2 firsts, let alone 1 for Hopkins regardless of how good he is. First round picks are too valuable. Cardinals second rounder is 40 overall that’s pretty damn good.
