I like the idea of changing it up, but it looks like the UNC Panthers

:barf: It's bad enough knowing the our 'electric/Panthers blue' is derived from Duke and UNC blues mixed.  Yeah, they would actually have to get the correct shade of blue because that is obviously is not the same as the stripes in CMCs jersey.

I remember Mark Richardson telling a story about the blue--something about being in Hawaii and seeing the blue there, and they liked it.  Electric Blue was the term.  I have never heard that the Duke /UNC colors were used--if that were the case, then why leave out Clemson, SC, State, etc?

The black accent and visor tint gives it a little more meanness than the aforementioned design. Not a bad thing.

Can you wear a black visor?

This helmet is better, but if you want your brand to stand out---white background.  JMO

I saw somewhere that Jerry Richardson had the two blue shades (Duke/UNC) mixed and dubbed that resulting color electric blue.

Richardson wanted the color scheme to be black and blue.  Black is black, but blue comes in countless shades.  Again, that's how it was said he came up with the electric blue.

I looked for the Hawaii story and could not find it.  Both are probably correct to some degree, but I would say it is a mistake taking colors from 2 universities in NC and selling it to both states.  Surprised we are not wearing Wofford Black and Gold.

Not sure, I feel like Thomas Davis wore one at some point if I remember correctly.

By white background do you mean white helmet?
