No, but we've drafted and signed multiple losers from Columbia. We wonder why we have 0 Super Bowls.

Clemson is getting ready to have 2 starting QBs in the NFL in 2021, Carolina has zero lol.

2 players from Eastern High School in Louisville, KY have National Championships. Rajon Rondo (NBA), and Myron Pryor (NFL). Someone pass the info along.

We've solved the problem for the steve.

I have rooted from gamecock Panthers and would root for Clemson players here. If Clowney and Watkins we're my choices in that draft, I'm taking Clowney 10/10 times.

Jerry Richardson obviously had a grudge against Clemson. He wanted to play at williams-brice (they turned him down). We've signed MANY SC players, I recall signing 4-5 Clemson players in the 25 year history.

I'm pretty sure we had more Clemson players on our TC rosters in Tepper's years then in the whole history of the franchise. I 100% understood Clemson between 2000-2010 not having much signed talent, they weren't that great. Carolina teams with much worse records (as bad as 1-11) constantly had people on our TC squads at worst.

If we draft Kinlaw, Brown, Simmons, Tua... I will be happy whoever it is.

I am making it clear here that the guys we produce here in Clemson are not worse then Carolina talent. Richardson clearly had a bias, this is the freaking guy that let Brenton Bersin be on an NFL roster for 2 and a half years.

I don't find it coincidental we look for Clemson talent instead of SC talent the first full year Tepper is owner.

No. Carolina is in Chapel Hill. USC is Southern Cal. Outside of the state of SC, you're going to get looked at like a crazy person if you use either of those terms to refer to the University of South Carolina.

Lol, I know. I figured I'd stated enough who I was talking about beforehand.

Yeah, I mean I know UofL isn't in the SEC, and we just joined the ACC and become familiar with Clemson and their South Carolina rivalry more intermittently. But I can tell you that no one around here hears "USC" and doesn't think Southern California in the red and yellow.

Hey I've even rooted for those, disgusting Kentucky Wildcat players, who become wonderful Carolina Panthers.

Poor Kentucky, they had to make a rule this year saying you can't get in a fight before game time now and not get thrown out because of some time gate. There strategy for getting rid of opposing teams player prior to the game has gone completely out the window.

Nobody on the face of the earth except for the game chickens think of South Carolina when they hear “Carolina”

    • i love people with no medical experience making tenuous assumptions based on, uh, the fact his dad sucked in every practical lab in med school and had to go into psychiatry its fun to think of what these same fans would be saying with any other profession "well his dad was a cardiologist so obviously he knows how to stay calm." "well his dad was a neurologist so oviously he keeps his brain waves at a low level and isn't at risk of seizure, which is good (obviously)." "well his dad is a surgeon so he knows how to overcome his lack of confidence over height." "well his dad was a pediatrician so that's why he looks like a child, but kids don't get injured easily and have limitless potential so-"
    • Oh it’s made the decision easier knowing we were years away from competing. He just obviously didn’t think it was some sort of clown show as he took a job with that staff and still hangs around to help. Injuries were the major concern. Willis retired “early” as well, plus there was another very young LB in SF that did. Positions that take a lot of impact are starting to not push themselves too late in their careers to protect their long term health.
    • Obviously his health was the reason but the state of the team definitely helped. Luke doesn't strike me as someone who cares about individual accomplishments much at all. He loved the game and he wanted to win with the Panthers.  He wouldn't risk his life to go chase a ring elsewhere. It was difficult for him to step away from a team that was bad, if the Panthers were serious contenders I really think he would have tried to see it through.  Everything worked out the way that it was meant to in the end. It was sad seeing his career cut short but if he had a suffered a serious injury from football I can't even imagine. EDIT: To be clear I don't think the medical staff was part of his decision at all. It just helped that the team was far from winning a SB when he bowed out.
