sounds like you need a new girl japan...

my girl hates all sports but I have made it real clear to her nothing short of a fire or natural disaster is going to keep me away...and Sunday has officially been labeled 'no-nagging' day.

She brings me lots of beer during the game but I am beginning to think its so I pass out and she can have the TV......but tis hard to say no when beer is being stuck in my face. I am trapped.

Sounds like a tough situation to be in.

My girl is fine. She is just Japanese and doesn't understand football. I live in Japan and I get up at 2 a.m. to watch the games live and she says thats the most rediculous thing she's ever seen. But even seeing how crazy I am about football there is no way I could get away with watching fooball on our anniversary. Not that the schedules would ever conflict over here.

On a side note, I really enjoy the 4:15 games which means I can watch them at 6 in the morning instead of waking up at 3:00.

well, it's 4:00 AM here right now, pretty crazy i ran into this thread right now when it's 4:00AM my time and 7:00AM ur time. Anyways, the perfect anniversary present would be a panthers win, b/c that means you'll be in a good mood and will probably do anything your wife wants to do.

And your wife is OK with you watching football on your aniversary? Wow! Does your wife have a sister? No way my girlfriend would let me get away with that, and we're not even married. Here's to a good game and happy aniversary.:cheers2:

you need a new girlfriend.

I have been married 9 years and my wife watches as much football as me, keeps the tv on the NFL network and buys me panther crap.

if she wouldnt let you watch football now- wait till you get married.

My wife likes sports but not nearly as much as I do. She understands the fandom though and doesn't really try to fight it. She just sits and watches the games with me.

And yes, perfect anniversery gift would be the panthers winning!

Happy anniversary, sir! Another newly-wed here.

My wife's the same way: not a huge fan, but she understands and watches all the Panthers games with me.

    • I think he's gone, and rightfully so, if he turns in another losing record. The "talented roster," regardless of how true or not, is a double-edged sword. If the roster is so much improved now from 202X then why are you still producing losing seasons? On one hand, maybe that's what needs to happen. Have the GM hire the new coach, and then have the new coach pick his guy to run his system. That is typically how it works in the NFL. Not the forced inheritance deal we have had in place.
    • Hinging on Brooks to be our spark...be good if it happens... but not holding my breath....RB next draft. Morgan gambled...it would be a 2 year payoff if thing happened.
    • Only way Canales is fired is if we are attrocious everywhere....  defense /special teams and offense..  There are enough "questions" on if BY9 is the guy that ownership wouldn't fire the coach for "just" mid qb play.  Especially with as talented a roster that has played "well enough" to win some tough football games and hang in there against the top tier of the NFL ...(mostly).   Now total team suckage..yeah .. but I don't see that happening.
