Next Gen Teddy

In the end, it's about clicks for the website owner, and positive reinforcement for the Panthers is something he has to do to draw in the clicks. So, I get it in the end. But, everyone and their Mom knows Teddy B isn't the answer to the almighty question of "can this guy lead you to a Super Bowl victory?" In 1995, absolutely. In 2020? Hell no.

Thats fair. As a Panthers fan though I think it is normal to hope for better from him. No rookie QB is guaranteed to be even as good as Teddy. I'm not interested in that game. I'll support Teddy now, and if there is a rookie QB I will support him too. It isn't difficult.

I'm not concerned with how good a guy is right now. I'm concerned with how good he can become. We know what Teddy is and I just don't think that's anywhere near enough to compete for Super Bowls in today's NFL and that's what I want to do. Enough with mediocrity and hoping to field a good team once every three or four years.

Yeah, only on the Huddle is this "we need to win now" mentality going. Everywhere else if you're a true Panthers fan, you want the best QB available in the Draft next year. And build around that guy. Teddy B isn't it.

Cool. Who is that? You have no clue. Neither do I. No one does. Could be the #1 pick. Could be #10. Could be #24. Pretty equal chance of all that happening.

So yeah. That is something you STILL do not understand. Not sure you ever will.

Until then, those of us with any sense know building a winning culture is more important than striving to be the worst losers.

Winning culture trumps a high draft pick all day. The Browns have been winning the draft for years, but...

Yep. That is the model they want to follow. Hey! Lets suck the worst! Then we will be good!

Lunacy.

But I do understand the cause for concern. I think a lot of it stems from a lack of confidence in Marty's ability to bring in talent without having them drop in his lap.

Rhule showed at both Baylor and Temple that he can create that culture even while getting smoked on the field in his first season. I'm honestly not worried about that.

I am praying this is Marty's last year until his second radio host show job.

I do know there's 3 QB's I would like in Lance, TL, and and Fields. I would prefer if we had a top 5 pick. It's something the fanbase has to look forward to, because right now, what we're seeing on the field IS NOT it.

Yeah, that's a Ron Rivera mentality you guys continue to have. The Colts went from 2 wins to 11 because Andrew Luck came in the building. Did he build a culture of winning? LOL. Winning now again, does nothing but hurt the prospective future of the franchise. If you hit on a good-great QB in the Draft, you'll be set for years. History has proven that, and those QB's will create a winning culture. Regardless of what the weird posters on the CH want with the odd "win now in a useless season" mentality.
